Second attempt at sculpting miniatures!

I have just finished baking my second miniature today, I am so pleased with how he has turned out! He has a few moonies on his forehead and tummy area, but hopefully a bit of sanding will put that right. :)

This is a picture of him before I baked him. I will take another picture once the moonies have gone!

WOW! I'm really impressed! My first attempt at sculpting a 8" mini was also a horror baby. :o
It looked like a combination of looks... WC Fields and Howdy Doody! hahaha. Even I was scared lol. Congrats hun. I think he is just great and sooooo adorable. How small is he?

Thanks so much for the positive comments! I'm not sure how big he is yet as I haven't measured him, but he does fit snugly in my hand

I'm not sure whether or not to put hair on him, or to leave him bald? What is the best way to apply hair?

Wow, wow, this is really great! Did you use some kind of tutorial for the baby, or just made it directly from your head? I'd say that you're definitelly an expirienced sculptor from the looks of it :)

I'm not sure about the hair. I tried to root my babies but they ended in a pretty bad shape and with lots of holes in the head and not as much hair. I think some people glue their hair, but I haven't tried that yet. After numerous horror babies, I started reborning and paused my baby sculpting. All I can sculpt fairly good are tiny baby feet LOL :)))

I did watch a youtube clip twice, just to get the jist of things, but then I just did it myself I had a lot of fun sculpting him! I have just measured him and he is bang on 4 1/2 inches.

I've found that some people put a thin layer of clay on the baked head, then lightly place the hair on the clay, then bake again. Seems easy enough, might give it a shot!

I will! Once he is finished I am going to sell him on ebay, see how he does! Thank you for your support and kind words! I'll let you know when he is put on ebay
