He is so cute!!!! Does he need a baby sitter?? I'm really trying to figure out the mottling procedure. I know you use a sponge but how do you mix the paint? Any advice would be great. Again what a great job!!

hiya, thanks for your comments Linda, i put thinners into a pallet (has to be ceramic) add a dab of 08 genesis red, mix with the thinners i try a bit on a paper towel to see if its thin enough as it has to be a watery consistency, then when im satisfied i add a really small dab of genesis blue no 3(literaly a smidgen on your brush, then a even tinyer dot of burnt unber, the end result should look like a reddy purply colour, but very thin, as i apply this in several layers.
i suppose everyone has a different method and this is the one i like to stick to, its all trial and error really.
make sure your paint is very watery though its better to be able to apply thin layers to get the more natural look.
also you can get ready mixed paint that you can use instead of mixing your own, ive not tried these except the vein blue and vein red and they are quite good.
hope this helps xxCarol
