From time to time I will post babys that are exceptionally welldone so that myself and others may see what I personally call a premium baby. This one is no different. The kit is by Laura Tuzio Ross and reborned by Denise Farmer.
She has tons of pics including close-ups of skintones, mottling, hands/feet, even rooting! Take note of her crisp, clean photos, how she poses her bub, accessories/props. I am trying to aspire to their greatness in both sculpting and reborning. So take a look if you want to and see what you think. BTW... his name is Walter :) and I want him for Christmas (Oh Santa!!!!)
By golly I would think that Walter was real if I didn't know better! Oh Santa I wouldn't mind having little Walter myself BTW, to me it is usually so much harder to achieve realism in open eyed sculpts, but this one really hit the mark!

if a first you don't succeed try again...and again....and again hehe
I can't afford the prototype either (although I would love to own him) but I do have his kit on pre-order. He is suppose to arrive at the sculptors place on the 15th so maybe in time for Christmas? I'll just have to paint my own ;)
Here is another fabulous baby on ebay who's auction is over but the link should still work for a while. Check out the veins and how the bluish undertones seem to really make this one look alive! It's awesome IMHO !!! :) The bluish tones at the ankle, on the temples, hands. Baby actually even looks a little jaundiced from being born early (my oldest was like that). I am so amazed at this dolls painting. Take a close look at the bellyplate. I don't see little circles for the mottling, I see almost like a little prickly heat rash. I think she put some texture medium on her to make her skin just come alive. Sorry to go on but it just blows my mind! I don't particularly care for the kit itself but the detail of the paint work...

I thought it was real untill I saw the arm pits and tummy plate. How great is that, I realy apreciate the hard work that has gone into creating that baby. XXXXX June.
