Hi 
 I have done a few doll kits .  I was just wondering has anyone tried to do a mermaid?  I would love to try but where would I find a pattern.  I think it would be really special to do a mermaid.  I have done fairys out of clay,I would love to like make a mermaid tail for a reborn doll.   Anyone have an idea where I might be able to find a pattern for that or a simple way to figure out how to make a pattern?  I just have this vision in my head and would love to put it to use.  Any help would be apreaciated.  THanks

biggrin    i made little cricket into a mermaid ,i lucked out i found a big cheap plastic doll at goodwill that was wearing a mermaid costume. i'll post pic in artist showcase. sageaww

Right now would be the perfect time to go looking in the Halloween costume pages of your local craft/fabric store! I usually look in the baby costumes if I want something.
Otherwise you might want to google mermaids or even do a search in ebay and see what you come up with. At the least you might find some inspiration to make your pattern.

Mermaid costumes are so easy, I will post pic of some we did just to take pics of our Grandchildren on the beach. If you are going to leave the legs on your baby, then you will need to position them in the same direction, if you know what I mean. Look in Artist Showcase under Gçhildren as Mermaids. XXXXX June.
