Here is the newest baby from Andrea's Dream Babies, Lionel! This precious little guy was created from the Lionel sculpt by Elisa Marx. Elisa did a wonderful job on his sculpting, with lots of wrinkles and the most adorable expression. I thoroughly enjoyed bringing him to life. He is currently pending private adoption, and if it falls through, then he will be going to ebay. Enjoy his pictures!

Awww, thanks, ladies! His adoption fell through, so unless someone wants to buy him off of here or one of my other forums for $650 plus shipping, he will be going to ebay soon.

BOL in his auction! Pictures are great and your details in the listing are just perfect! I was wondering what techniques you use for doing the swirl. Some are in the middle and circle outward and some sketch a pattern, i was wondering what you found easier to do especially using a forked needle. I'v attampted both and neither give me the outcome I'm looking for, but your rooting is awesome!
Thanks for pointing that out, Liselle. I have noted in the auction that the belly plate does indeed come with him. Tina, I start from the outside and circle inward, using a forked needle. I don't sketch a pattern now, but I used to do just a tiny bit with a removable pencil. It also helps to look at a picture of a good swirl as you root. And most of all, it takes lots of practice!

So you just keep coming in until you complete the center of the circle? Hmm I tried that on my last baby and it did produce a better swirl than I ever got before. Thanks Andrea!
Yes, Tina, I just root in a swirl until I get to the middle. When the bald spot is about the size of a quarter or so, then I go to the very middle and root my swirl outwards until they meet.
By the way, Lionel's auction is ending tomorrow! Please cheer him on and hope he finds a new mommy soon!
