Just doing the shading, the lips, finger nails, today. The big one is Julia by Thelma Resch. 39" finished. The other is a Tippy head, by Cindy Marchner Rolf.
Now that is a workshop! I love looking at all the doll parts and supplies almost as much as seeing the final products. Wish I lived close to June so I could go to porcelain class.
Sage, if you reborn the baby with the hard vinyl, what are you going to do about the hair? Would you add a wig? Cannot imagine how many needles would break even if the hard vinyl was heated.

I do the teeth for them as it is done with Pearly White, in the greenware stage before firing to Bisc. Also, there are supposed to be wigs out there that have a clear backing, so you can see through it to the scalp. I don't know the supplier but will try check it out. The other thing is, I love to be able to live close to a lot of you so we could learn both skills from each other. XXXXX June.

I like the baby. I collected porcelain dolls for years then I collected all types of dolls I have some from my childhood, I was on the net searching for a new baby doll when I ran across reborns, I fell in love and I have not purchased another doll since I have now made 10 reborns I don't sell them yet but if someone wanted one I would sell it, I collected over 150 dolls over the years now I trying to get rid of some of them I'm giving some to little Calli, by the looks of your pixs you are gonna be busy.
I've heard of those wigs. I can't remember who makes them though. I wish we all lived a bit closer as well there are so many talented women here on the forum I think it would be wonderful to meet and exchange ideas. I don't know anyone around me that reborns and sometimes I wish I had that second opinion on how to do something or how it looks from another artist, Oh well the froum is the next best thing I guess =)
Your procelain dolls look great so far. I make porcelain dolls. Have for about 15 years.I have them all over the house. My husband loves them HA! HA! I love the bigger dolls. I have one 36 inches tall. I saw all of their clothes. So the bigger ones are easier to sew for. I also like the Victorian Era. I'm working on a 1894 evening gown for one right now. The doll is 24 inches tall. I just finished a Oreintal girl. ( probably didn't spell that right) and I beaded her jacket. I've always liked Thelma Resch dolls she does tend to go for the bigger dolls. Like one of the other ladies said I wish we lived closer. We could all get together. Can't wait to see them done hope you post a picture. Linda
