Ants in your Pants over there, I want to thank you all so sincereley, I think of you all each day also. What a suprise I got when I turned the computer on and clicked on to favourites and Secrits site as soon as we got home. Sam said to thank you very much also for you thoughs, even though he is gummy bear on the top he didn't loose his bottom teeth, will know the outcome in 2 weeks time. I bet you can't guess where I slept last night................I slept in the 4x4, busting for w## all night in the carpark at the hospital. They will give $30 for motel cost and the ones we could get cost $160, no way am I paying that for washing a pair of sheets. Anyway, had a reasonable sleep and was up and changed before Sam saw the Drs. Instead of him going into another ward, I said I have been looking after him for almost 4 yrs, I can take him home, I will know what to do. Thank you all so very much, my very dear forum friends. XXXXX June and Sam. PS< I have saved it under favourites. XXXXX June -- Edited by sara zata on Thursday 19th of August 2010 09:13:31 AM

I'm glad the surgery went well. It's a shame you had to sleep in the car, wouldn't the hospital allow you to stay there for the night? I know here depending on the circumstances they will allow you to stay in the room with them the night.
Hi June I'm glad everything went well,I am keeping you guys in my prayers. Speaking of sleeping in the car, I just told my husband the other day that we could go away then sleep in the car because the back seats can lay down our legs would be in the trunk and our heads in the car, he thought that was so funny, but I told him just think of the money we would save, we would just have to find a place to shower, he thought it was funny but I was serious. It would be nice to get away.
Next time we decide to sleep in the car we are going to build a platform to put the matress on as the seats didn't fold down at the front, so if we have a platform out of ligth material we can put the matress on top and use under it for plastic draws for clothing and extra food, so we are not spending money on take away. The other thing is, we have a trailer and a Porta Loo, a gas hot water heater and you can buy little pop up toilet and shower tents here in Australia, so we thought we might invest in one of them. People over here travel all arround Australia and stay in free camp sites, most of them have toilets and showers and BBQ's. But we have bought a Fibre Glass Caravan that I am doing up, hopefully it will be finished by Nov. It only cost me $1000, and when I finish doing it up, should be worth at least $12.000/$14.000. Good second hand ones are very hard to find. This one has a normal sized fridge and Air Conditioner. I have stripped out all the old cupboard doors, taking out the old fibro tiles and benches, but at least when finished it will be a million dollars, I hope. We have been stuck in four walls for far too long now so need to get out and about. Free Camp Sites are the way to go. you are allowed to stay for 3 days and then you can afford to stay in a park to catch up on washing and cooking. You tell him, you are seious, we wanted to do it 5 yrs ago, now look what has happened, don't put off today what you may not be able to do tomorrow. XXXXX June.
wow you will have it made when finished. It will be cold here in Michigan ina couple months then we arw hermits, we always have an excuse to why we don't go away, but we do have four dogs one is 14yrs old and the youngest is diabetic, they are my babies and I don't trust anyone except our son with them but he works alot and his wife has problems with her back so I won't ask her they live on the other side of town, I have made up my mind we will vacation next summer if it is in Gods will.
I've just been like a hermit over here. I hate the cold and we proably don't get as cold over here. But when we where younger, we went to Ireland in 1987, it snowed and we loved it. But I think the winter on the coast wasn't as bad as living in the bush. XXXXX JUne.
I hate the cold too I was born and raised here but I still hate the winters, I want to move south but we would have to sale our home then we would have to leave all of our families especially our moms my husbands mom just turned 80 and my mom is 76 so it would be hard to leave them. I always say only if our son lived out of town it would give us somewhere to go. Our winter was not to bad last winter hopefully it won't be bad this year. I'm done talking about winter I'm getting chills lol.
