Hi, Im camry, June has helped me to get on here. She said you may like to see my baby that won the Sunshine Coast Doll and Bear Show. This is my fourth doll, Shyann Elizabeth. Her new mum lives in Brisbane and I am delivering her to her next month as I have to go down. She got Doll of the Show. And mummy is pleased.

I love reborning, and cant get enough hours to do it. I have just bought my first german forked needle and am going to try the real sparse look on the bub I am doing at the moment. The little fella in my signature is my most recent bub, he is my fifth. So I guess its about time I stopped counting and just get on with it........ biggrin

Welcome to the forum Camry I have to say your Shyann Elizabeth is beautiful! Your little guy in you avatar has such beautiful eyes. You must be very proud I don't think you ever stop counting babies. I've been reborning over three years and still count each one LOL!

I would say so!! Yeah, Like Sage says, we're all a little nuts. I keep hearing my craft is creepy and weird, until I tell them how much some of these dolls have sold for. Then they're like....well, dang, dude, go for it! LOL

I want to judge at our local doll show next spring but they don't even have a reborn catagory. Plus they are over hauling the old judging system nation wide so it should be interesting. I told them I would teach them all about reborns and be a judge. Guess I have to talk to the high up muckety muck guy! But... if I do become a reborn judge, I can't enter any of my babies. it s a catch 22 so to speak. Judge... no enter. No entries without teaching them how. :( But I'm glad you could judge AND put one of your porcelains in! Congrats! I knew you could do it, you just needed a bit more confidence! Woohoo!

Thank you so much Pat, yes that is the only problem with judging a section, you are not allowed to entre. But it was an honour to be asked and a boost to my self esteem with you backing me in being able to do it. I am thinking of joining the Doll Club again and I think I have convinced Sam and Samantha of returning to the Sunshine Coast, that way I will be able to have classes again, in both reborn and porcelain. I don't like it in the bush and $15 from one person for a full day isn't worth the effort and the power. XXXXXX June.

$15 AU? Nope, not much for all you teach hun. If you move then what about Sam's Drs? Is it closer? And would you be better off at the Sunshine Coast than you are in the bush otherwise? I mean if it wasn't for the dolls?
Say... I seem to remember you moving there not so very long ago it seems. Hmmm...

Well hun, my thing here is if I would have to train to be a judge and would then just both porcelains AND reborns. Plus... that would put me out of entering even my reborns cause I'd have to judge them. Here you don't just judge sections, it's the full Monte' or nuthin! So, I'd have to find another avenue for judging on my babies.

Or maybe I can be a reborn judge trainer instead! Not judge, just train the judges, then be able to enter some of my reborns! Hmmm, maybe that would work!

I think that would be a great idea, there are a lot of reborners with so much talent, a bit like me without the confidence. I think I can answer most questions on reborns and we all have our own likes and dislikes, we just take them out of the judging and judge as an individual artist. Anything about pocelains well that is old hat. I will try to take a picture of my two and post them in artist showcase. XXXXXX June.
