I've never been privileged to be asked to reborn a prototype, but I dream of being asked. I would create a reborn that looks so real you can see it breathe. Well... I can dream, can't I?

I've seen a couple contests where the prize is a prototype to reborn.

Hmmm, I know I posted about this! Where did it go?

Oh well, lets see if I can remember what I posted...
Usually the people that get to reborn prototypes are not only extremely good, but they also have had their name out there for a while and have sold their own reborns for top buck. I know 2 that usually get asked and their reborns have gone for as much as $4600.00 USD, if not more. They are phenominal artists and their rooting is astounding! The nice thing is they don't have to pay for the "kit" to paint it AND they get their name out there again as the prototype reborner too!

I would love for someone to ask me to reborn their prototype! I agree with Linda.. I can dream can't I? That would be the ultimate honor for me!
Even my friend Danielle Zweers didn't ask me to reborn her's. :( but... when I get better at it... lol

All I can say is keep doing your babies, get them out there, sell sell sell!! That puts your name and your work out there to get noticed!
(This is all in my humble opinion you know). hehehe

Yes, usually they ask you to do the prototype. Sometimes you can win it as part of a contest, but that would be the exception, not the usual. I also hope to someday to a prototype!

mactopolis, you better not be too old to be that good. I hate to admit I'm close to your age. (I know time flies but how did all those years happen so fast!)

Despite my advanced age, I think I can improve skills and technique with every doll.

I went to BB today and they had a whole bunch of new little prototyes that were sooooo cute I wanted them all... the ones on their home page...

I saw them too! My problem is I just order and am waiting for about 5 new kits to come in so I need to wait a bit =(

I am waiting as well for the ones I bought from rdk and then I have to at least make two of them and take them out for a test run.. lol I don't even have the kits yet and look I am already talking about what I need to do next...
