Never done a 6" Mini
Permalink

I started out with a 17" preemie, and I decided to do a 6" mini reborn baby.. I have never done one before! I am a little scared.
cry
 My question is: aww
Is it just like doing the 17" preemie and the others?

Do I bake it the same as well?

Waiting to start my knew little reborn.... A friend wants me to do one for her to sell and I am a little scared... lol NERVOUS REALLY!!!nodisbelief Thank you for your help ladies!

Don't worry, Jody.  The only difference is the size.  If you can do a 17" preemie, a 6" will be easy, and there is less vinyl to paint.  If you are using the same paints, you would use them the same way.  If you are using the heat set paints, the baking time and temp is exactly the same.

Deep breath... relax and have fun!

Linda's right they are a bit easier to paint. Rooting is a breeze too provided to get a comfortable grip (those heads are a wee bit small LOL )

Some people think the smaller babies are easier to do I think basically because you only use 2 paints on them. I personally like to add flesh as a base paint but it's not necessary.
The first time I saw the little heads it made me think of plums! They are about that size hehehe
And rooting is fast but those heads sure are small. But they fit right in my hand so it goes fast.

Don't be scared or worried. One reason why I like the heat-set paints is cause you get do-overs! hehehe

Thanks Pat!!! I wondered the other day what kind of fruit they looked like!! lol I thought about using the flesh paint on them and a little blush and do some hair.... You guys are much faster at rooting than I am.. But in all I do love my Heat set paints..... I feel confindent to complete this 6" mini reborn baby!!!

I like to make the mini babies look as real as I can so I use more than just the 2 colors on them.  They are faster to make, but it's so much harder for me to see without my magnifying glasses.  Would love to see your babies when you are finished.

You could always do a flat rate box. I find that saves my customers money most of the time.
