smile i don't know if anyone will share but i thought it'd be cool if we shared  tips on space saveing, poseing ect...ect..in the nursery.......so anyway i can never remember the differant mixes  for like asian or aa skinetone  confuse    so i use a recipe box to keep up with them ,as you know i also have quite a few kits. because i got tired of them getting in the way disbelief    i bought a standing shoe holder, its made of canvas type metarial .it hold 20 kits, each has it own compartment. the holder has wheels so you can move iy with ease. i also have a lazy susan to hold the paints i use most. well hope i didn't bore you.                                                 sage   aww

The shoe stand is a great idea Sage! I also have a tall plastic stand with 7 drawers in it to put things like my paints, mohair, bodies ect. The drawers can be easily labeled and the whole thing cost about $20! It has wheels too so you can move it out of the way when your not using it.

I put a coated metal rack (like a bread rack) in my closet (I should go take a pic of it and post it) and it takes up the entire closet. I have my kits on it separated into tubs with bodies, limbs (by 1/4, 1/2, etc), heads, and then clothing. works well and the air gets to circulate. Doors close so no one sees them :)

Hmmm, all my posts from yesterday are missing! Maybe I was dream-posting. But I pretty much know what I said... hmmmm

Anyway, I like the lazy susan idea too and would use it if I had a place where I could leave my stuff out. I live in a tiny little 2 bedroom rambler and theres no place for anything :(

I need to see photos of your space-saving tips, and quick.  Things are so out of control here that someone is going to submit my name for an episode of Hoarders.

Hugs,
Linda

smile    as we all know once we've finished baby next comes the poseing. one of the things i use is one of those fold up round chairs for little kids. i like them because you throw a blankie over it and in closeup pics like us baby mamas take you can't tell it's a chair.also it cradles the baby so nicely.the bonus .....it folds ou so you can tuck it away.                            sage  aww

    Hi Everyone!!

I was looking at the different topics. Saw the one for the nursey tips. But on the headline next to the word Topics that looks like a glass of Beer! That would be grat have a couple of them and than get into painting our babies. HA! HA! I like the idea of the lazy susan. I have a whole bed room I use as my sewing , doll room . I have a crib that someone gave me . i want to put it up in the corner and put my babies in it. But my frience took it down and all of a sudden doesn't know how to put it together.I'm going paint the room too. I have a walk in closet if you can get in it. no   You ladies know how that is with all my valuebles.I bought one of those plastic three tier shelves and put that up for some of my supplies and I have doll heads and limbs on it that I need to get done. It looks like a sience lab with all the body parts laying around!! But I close the door and no one sees anything.I just have a lot to do in their when this knee heals enough so I can get around better.

Linda, you are so funny but really... right on the money! I think a lot of us have the same problems/issues hahaha
I have a 21 foot long shop which is all well and good... but its only 7 feet wide!! YIKES! No place to put anything when I house 3 businesses in there.
Plus my youngest daughter moved back home with allllll her stuff and now has decided to become a minimalist. So whatever she doesn't want any longer goes in my room, or in the hallway blocking the door so I can't get in, OR she packs it all up nicely and then the totes are in the way. But... this too shall pass lol!

I don't even have anywhere for my babies to go. I do them and then they go in a tote awaiting adoption. I'm definately going to have to have a "downsizing sale". I have kits coming out of my ears I have so many! but I do adore all of them lol

I love the lazy Susan Idea as well.... I live in a small mobile home and the living room is my work place as my mom has the kitchen for a sewing room.. lol Well Anyways I have a tool box like thing that I place my paints, mohair, paint brushes and hair brushes, and ect. it's nice because then I can place it all in a movable plastic tote that has a lid. aww I hope to have a nursey/ sewing room for my "wierd Obsession" as my b/f calls it. But for now I plastic tote and a living room will have to do.. biggrin I love all your ideas..

That's a great idea. My mom bought an electric oven that just sits on the counter and When I used it for the first time (well it was my first kit ever!!!!) the oven got really hot so she ended up getting a melted spot on the TOP of the Head!!! I that no way this was not meant for me to do. BUT I worked through it.

It's a dip now in the top of the head BUT I freaked out litterally... I called my mom and she suggested that I could use a wooden spoon end and push lightly until it kind of came back to it's orginal shape.... It worked still a melted lump spot but my mom says she fell on her head when she was being "born" lol way to go mom.... great cover up! :)

Tabletop roaster? You mean like a tabletop oven with bake, convection, etc?

Ya, that's how I do mine. I only use my heatgun for the 6" minis, eyebrows, and lips. Maybe the tongue if it has one showing. Otherwise I can fit a full 22" doll in mine. :)
