Thanks Tina! ;) It's a shame I can't get more pics of him on here, I've got some lovely close ups but can't get anymore to load, it's really frustrating!
You have definitely captured the essence of a preemie. He is awesome, as usual!
Hugs,
Linda

ABBY I THINK YOU HAVE IMPROVED SOOO MUCH WITH DETAIL ETC. THIS IS A VERY CLOSE TO WHAT PREEMIES LOOK LIKE. \THE FACES DON'T HAVE FAT CHEEKS LIKE TERM BABIES, SO IT USUALLY GIVE THE APPEARANCE OF A LITTLE OLD MAN OR WOMAN LOL. THIS BABY IS RATHER CUTE THAT YOU DID.

Very well done sculpt hun. I love the hands. What an adorable baby. You should be very proud of him. I have jsut joined this forum. I am a sulptor also. I want to make my babies look more lifelike so I am here to learn how to reborn. I am not sure if the reborning techniques will work on an OOAK polymer clay sculpt. But from looking at how lovely your has turned out I think the answer to that question is YES. Any limitations or special issues you have discovered in making the transition of the reborning techniques from the vinyl kits to the polymer clay? I would really appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Your really very good. I would like to add you to my the OOAk sculpting site as well. It is not my site where I pst my art, it is a site for Polymer clay sculptors. www.ooakartdolls.com If you would like to be listed there sign into the guest book and I will get you added ASAP. Hugs, Linda
Thanks Linda I've posted to your guestbook and added a button link, it's a new one so if it's a bit big let me know & i'll resize it. I've been sculpting quite a whle and only recently tried my hand at reborning, so wasn't really a transition for me. It is different painting polymer clay, if you use the genesis paints you have to be a lot more sparing than with vinyl, the clay soaks it up so you need a lot less pigment. I've found it doesn't cure as well either, so you need to use as few layers as possible, or you can accidentaly mess up a previous layer when adding new ones, I try to do as much as i can in only 2 or 3 layers, curing for about 10 mins the last time. Also if you bake too many times when applying the paints the clay can become overbaked and you get cracks or moonies (those nasty little white spots!)
