Head and Limbs

How do I know what size limbs I need for the heads I have? I don't know if there is some rule of thumb to follow to determine the size. And I guess that would apply to how to determine the right size body, as well.

I just want to make sure my babies look proportional.

I have 3 heads, a Knoops head, and the 2 Berenguers.

Hey, BB has bodies on sale! This ties right in with my question about heads and limbs. How would I determine what size body to get? I know it's all about proportion, and this would be a great time to get the bodies for the heads I have.

Let me know!

smile   my advice is measure you heads as if for a wig then go to bb look at their kits, they tend to tell you the wig size. point is you may be able to match your head size to one of there kits and figure out body size from there.confuse                             sage  aww

Hmm...that might work. I was just wondering if there was a hard and fast rule about making sure you get the right size limbs and/or body for the head.

The only thing I've heard about proportion came from some sculpting notes.  Notes say that the length of the baby from the top of the head to the bottom of the trunk (butt) is should be equal to about  2 - 2-1/2 heads.  Example:  If the head is 5" tall, the body from the neck to the bottom should be 2 to 2-1/2 times 5".

Hope this helps!

Hugs,
Linda
