well haven't started yet--- i think the wonderful blank canvas that is the baby kit is intimadating me.sounds dumb right? with rescue babys they need love/work and don't cost alot..... so no worries.......but the kit is so lovely/perfect i guess i'm afraid i'll ruin it disbelief

SAGE, THE NAME YOU SEE ON THE BABY'S HEAD BERJUSA *IS THAT SPELLED RIGHT?) IS THE GERMAN MADE OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. NOT SURE. I HAVE ONE LIKE THAT TOO. THE ONLY THING THAT I WORRY ABOUT ON THE BERINGS IS TRYING TO GET THE ORGE COLOR OUT OF IT. THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED ORANGE CORRECTION BUT NOT SURE ABOUT THAT. I'VE NEVER USED IT, BUT JUST HAVE SEEN IT.

I thought I had remembered seeing a piece on the Berenguer/Berjusa dolls, and I found the link for you. The scent of the dolls is even mentioned in the article.

linda, thanks so much i was a little confused. i thought maybe the seller got 2 kits mixed up. i love this kit ,it has half open eyes, full limbs. of course i feel the bodys too small--- again disbelief

well girls, i've been bad . i bought 3 2nds kits from bb,tory- baylee and dakota. they just arrived---- i'm in love-- the only flaws are in the inside of of the pieces . they are so cute. why 3 ? well at 14.00 a kit how could i resist and i had to have the dakota kit cause thats my sons name . sage aww

guess what, don't fall over in a faint but my bf just bought me a haily kit by shelly kneip from dd. he says its the last one cause 6 kits is enough.

Sage, you are gonna be busy for a long time with all those kits. I have no room to talk. I have enough kits to keep me going until 2013! LOL. It's just so hard to resist when you see a cute sculpt or a fabulous sale. BB should be ashamed of themselves for having all those fabulous sales.

Sherri, I love Li-Hua, too! I have Mira-Jo (de Lange) Li-Hua (Bos), Sophie (Wosnjuk), and Suzanna (Stone) in stock now, and it's so hard to resist reborning the stock that I need to sell to stay in business. And now Beau (de Lange) has just come out so the temptation is stronger than ever! I'm sure my husband will step in soon to save me from myself.

trying to finish up my rescue babys so i can start on my dakota but...... they're not being very helpful -this one doesn't like her eyes-- that one doesn't like my hair choices.... i've threatened them with the rubbish bin.....lol all the while haveing my toes chewed off by a half blind 1lb 3oz spoiled pug puppy........ and i do mean CHEWED.......OUCH........HELP. disbelief

well, i'm done i just bought alex and pascal from dd. the bf is starting to think maybe i have more then 6 kits , so i gotta behave for awhile....hehe.... pascal is a sleepy baby with his tonge showing, thats why i bought deshawn. she's open eyed with her tongue showing. got the first layer on freddie, wait till you see his outfit. sage aww

the deshawns and josie arrived today,are they ever sweet.thank the stars bf was to busy cussing as he worked on the porch roof to notice.......lol still waiting on bethany. the pug and i are doing ok,i still have all my toes.....barely i've tied a rope with a big knot to my work chair so she can fight with it. i walk thru the house with her hanging from my pant leg.my doxie webe adores her,she seems to know bella's half blind and shadows her.when i lose bella webe goes and hunts her up. sage aww

my bethany kit finally arrived, boy is she a big baby . she takes a 22" full limb body. i think she'll be fun to dress because of her size and full limbs. not sure i'll use the paints that came with her.......air dry disbelief

but all in all i 'm happy. sage aww

OOO ....my first babe was Bethany!! She's a cutie to do I think you'll be very pleased with her! I used the air dry paints on her but I didn't have the heat set paints at that time. I think I have her posted in the showcase.

well i only used them once and it was my first reborn so i may not have used then correctly. The instructions werent easy to follow. She turned out fine but I found they dried a bit too fast for me and if you made a error and wantded to redo something it was it was hard, however there are others on here who use the air dry paints and love it so I guess it's a perference.

well my order from dd arrived, i was a little confused because i had ordered 2 sleepy babys and recieved 1 sleepy ,1 awake. i called them and they were lovely about it. aparently the photos got mix matched s i thought i was ordering a sleepy baby anyway they're sending me the head i wanted and letting me keep this head. thats what i call customer service. you see that rarely these days. sage aww

I know how it goes with the kit addiction. My friend Claudie had so many, she hid them under the stairs so the bf wouldn't yell at her about it. She had kits I think for 2-3 years before she met me and took a class! So you're not alone Sage, but you are very funny!

I use heat set paints now for the last several years. I've used the dye, artist pastel chalks, highly pigmented water colors, JoSonja paints, and I have some air dry paints from BB but have not used them yet. I hope to later on this summer. I have to make room for my jewelers bench, wax bench, and my jewelry stuff (I'm a full fledged jeweler now) and then I'll see what room is left for the babies.
I know, I know, they should have priority cause I started the dolls first but they don't make me as much money yet. Most ppl would buy jewelry before a doll. Or some buy jewelry FOR dolls hehehe.

Pooky shoes AND beating heart? Now that's a deal for sure. Yep, I think maybe you need a Riley. I have 2 of them--all painted but not rooted. I am so not a fan of rooting, but y'all already know that. I would love rooting if it didn't take me several years to do one head. The doll ends up being a teenager by the time I'm finished.

I love to root... I think it's farely easy I took a look at the movie once and I was off. Boy was that the time in my life I thought would be the last.. Now I am stalking Kits like it's crazy town. lol I haven't bought any yet cause I had one kit I absolutley love but i am thinking on graduating from a preemie to a newborn (full term)... hmmmm well we shall see. Sage you are too much LOL. I still have two to finish up from two monthes ago. One has some hair started and the other hasn't a strand! Just no time. One more graduation to get through, this ones my son's HS grad, a baby shower, and a christening Whew than maybe I can finish those poor bald babes laying in pieces on a cookie sheet.

You guys are allllll soooooooo funny!!! ROFLMBO!!! I am just in stitches!
But I should talk, I have so many kits I forgot where I left off counting! hahaha. I have most of them in the guest room (in the closet, under the bed, in giant tote bins, etc...) and a bunch of them downstairs in my "shop". They're almost stacked to the ceiling (although it's only a 6' ceiling lol). If only I had somewhere to store them all in one place, if only I had somewhere to make them, all in one place... Not counting my personal ones, I probably have about 100! And yes, they are for sale.

Most of my kits are Secrist. Then I have some from BB, DD, DBS, IR, evilbay, SR... I could keep on going but I can't remember the rest of the companies. OH yeah! And I just got my very first Laura Tuzio-Ross kit! Her hubby has an evilbay store for her kits. He looks like a silicone ooak she did several years ago. I finally found one that was pretty close. I am soooo excited to do him (yes it IS going to be a him). :D

So now I can't even look at any more kits on anywere cause I'm like you all, addicted to buying kits. Can't be an addiction to makeing them as I haven't made any since the Secrist cover contest and then it was only the heads! hehehe

yay......i'm in kit heaven......my 7 from bb just arrived.....i bought 4 kamekos.....a sofie.....a sydny.......and a riley. in my defence on the kamekos .....they are always out of stock.....so i grabbed me some. now i'm wondering if i should have got a couple more rileys......uhmmm................. sage aww
