Hi, all! I'm a newbie, but so far so good. However, I have a few dark spots from rooting. Why is that and how can I fix it? It really shows since the hair is pale blond and wispy newborn. Also, any hair trimming tips to get that really short newborn hair? I read from someone the razor comb, which sounds helpful, but how should I go about trimming, and what kind of gel, etc. ? Thanks for the help! Mary
with out seeing a photo i'm winging it but i do know some times the needle will leave black in the hole.try cleaning your needle with alcohol before rooting this seems to help. you could also try washing your head in warm soapy water but the truth is that if this is what is wrong most of the black is in the hole it's self so....... your stuck with it .........sorry i hope i'm wrong. sage

glad i could help, the needle oxidizes ....hence the black residue ,you do a few holes and it's worn off.if your doing a dark haired baby its not to bad but on blonde babys its heartbreaking. sage

Not any more than it wil melt human hair. The angora is from goats and they are mammals and so are we. So if it doesn't melt your hair it won't melt your angora. And I don't understand what the heat tool will do for covering the dark spots, what are you thinking of doing with it? :o
I do know that if you put the heat gun on it that it could ruin the hair (make it frizz or something like that I heard) :(
I'm sure glad you got this figured out. I wasn't sure how to advise you except to clean the needles prior to using, and that wouldn't have helped the marks that you already have. I once tried shampooing the hair after the rooting was finished and the hair glued. The spot didn't totally come out but it did seem to fade enough so that it wasn't noticed.
