Hello Letty, The colouring and veining for your first bub looks real good to me, the only thing in the pics that I don't see are the nail tips. Congratulations on your first reborn Baby. XXXX June

He's OK the way he is, just next time try to put nails on him. It's like when I first started I had a teacher show me, but said you didn't need to paint on eyebrows, now I do. You could try folk art paints and then Seal it once it has dried. XXXXXX June. Doing it with GHSP is the best way to go though.

His coloring looks great. I agree about the tips of his nails with everyone else. The only rhing I might added is a bit more shading inside his nose but other than that, he's a keeper!

actually I thought they were just very sheer.  I don't know why they do the tips that white or like the baby just got out of the beauty salon.  I worked 12 years in Delivery as the Nursery nurse and attened birth center births and 6 home births and the babies don't have fingernails that show up.  They are soooo soft and almost really hard to clip as the skin comes up under the nails...so any of you that haven't had a baby yet....be very, very careful cliping nails.  A long time ago the mom's would nibble them of (don't do that either..lol).  We were never allowed to cut any nails...they can bleed very easily.  Anyway..being realistic would be to hardly have any except for the ones that were sticking out that does the scratching. otherwise you would have to look pretty close.  I guess they just like them to look neat and clean instead of vernix all over them hehehe  I loved those babies SOOOOO much...even when I had 18 of them screaming their heads off while I would be weighing and washing and taking out to mommies.  Now that was a bit of a challenge..I went home the first day I worked with the babies and I swear I could hear the crying deep in my head...most of the night.

Letty has excellent coloring and veining. You should be so proud of your first baby doll!

Aviva,  thanks for telling us about the nails on real babies.  People who have not been around real babies probably wouldn't know about the nail tips.

Yep, a little more shading in the nostrils and a little more in the creases and you've got it! Congrats on your first reborn hun!
As far as the nail tips, be sure to use your flesh 07 or 08 on them and not real thick. I put on the nail bed color, bake (or use the heat gun) and then before I put a thin line of flesh color, I put a light coat of glazing gel on them and put the flesh color right from the jar, no thinning. It makes it glide on and also seals it in the process. Then bake or use heat gun.

Pat, do you heat set the glaze before you apply the Flesh 07 or 08?
