I'm here! Probably don't remember me... but I used to be here. I'm Kristie... FINALLY about to actually start painting some dolls.. (yippee!).
I vanished from the reborn world after my miscarriage last year.. looking at dollies (even just photos) was a bit painful, so I'm finally coming back.
I have a Teagan (BB) and a Kaylee (Secrist) here, just itching to be painted. If only my paint would turn up!! (Bought it from the states, envelope arrived emtpy! they didn't seal the package right.. oops!). Hopefully it arrives or else I might cry!
I just went to the New Sydney Doll Fair today and saw Collectable Kids, Lyns Reborn World, Irrisistable Infants and many more artists. LOTS of talent there! Though I have to say the best doll was being carried around by a woman who brought her own doll to the fair to show off. Seriously - he could have won IMO!
Anyways... I'm here.. a bit! not a lot, but a bit. I need to start selling my bracelets again after spending so much money at the doll fair OOPS!
Yes, Welcome back Kristie. Missed you popping in on the forum. I myself had 3 misscarrages and I know how you would have been feeling, We also lost a 5 yr old Son. It does take time, and you will never get over it but as the years go by the pain dulls. Yes lets see you on here selling your stuff. A few of the girls I chat with over here in Oz, went to the Blacktown show. I used to with my Porcelain dolls and did very well with sales untill Jan Mc Lean, came in with a semi load of her Barbie sized dolls, no one did very well that year as she had prime position and everyone had spent their money before the got arround the big hall. I haven't had such a good yr as Sam has had so much go wrong, I haven't had much time to do any rebrns since easter. Also we have been shifting house and not enough room to put everything yet. Glad to see you back, will be on line on and off as time permits. XXXXX June
Glad to see you back Kristie :) People come and go here but we're glad when the come back. Sorry to hear about your miss. I too have had one. But hang in there, you're in my prayers. Maybe it might be a good thing to get back to your doll painting. Might take your mind off, you know? I think I would have been better off if I had this craft when I had my miss. Kind of hard at first but as June said, it takes time.

Practicing rooting on anything for me is good! lol I still have to master the German no barbed (forked) needle. They don't like me very well, more holes than hair lol Hope your paints come soon too or your daughters doll may have LOTS of hair by then hehehe
