Please ignore the other post or delete the whole thing if you know how. Too many mistakes to make sense. Anyway, this baby's name is "Isabella" She has taken me a long time to complete (started last January) mainly because I made so many mistakes. What I learned: NEVER put 97% rubbing alcohol on a painted, heat set, baby face-it takes off paint, all of it, in about 2 seconds. Superior Shine Remover, and Matte Varnish Sealer cannot be applied with a BRUSH and work properly, no matter how many coats you put on. Never use Elmer's glue inside a partially rooted head because you don't want to loose hair. It cracks when dry and totally messes everything up when you put on the right glue on, which in Isabella's case, took out about half the rooted hair, twice. I have a new kit and if I live long enough to finish it, I'll post. Thanks for looking. Sandy
All I can say.... it was worth all the efford. She looks adorable and very well done. You did a great job on the rooting and you say its your 2nd baby. I will certainly look out for your next baby. Congrats!!!
Isabella is adorable, well worth all the trouble she gave you. Congratulations on a job well done!!
Thanks for the tip about the alcohol - I had no idea it would remove heat-set paint. Might be a substitute for acetone to lighten too-dark eyebrows if used lightly and sparingly. I'll have to try that sometime.
Looking forward to seeing baby number three from you.
Isabella is adorable. :) And thanks for sharing all your booboo's with the forum. Nice to have that information for future reference. I'm glad she didn't turn out to be a "bin-baby". She's too cute for that.
hEY...DID YOU KNOW THAT I HAVE THE ONE OF HER AT 24 WEEKS OR 26 WEEKS, NOT SURE. SHE'S A LOT PRETTIER FULL TERM FOR SURE. AT FIRST I DIDN'T KNOW THAT SHE CAME IN TWO DIFFERET ONES AND I COLDN'T BELIEVE HOW MINE LOOKED SO PREEMIE AND THE OTHER WAS SO PRETTY UNTIL I SAW THAT SHE WAS 20 INCHES. MINE IS LIKE 12 INCHES. mINE IS A LE OF 500 I THINK. MAYBE I'LL TRY TO FIND HER.
