After seeing a specialest in Jan for a spinal surgery, the specialest, got him to have a brain MRI, to see why he didn't have strength in his hands, it comes back with a lump in his thyroide. It is in the pre cancerous stage, and he is to have right thyroide out on the 27 th. If it is cancer, then her will have to go back and have it all removed and have kemo, and radation theropy. Keeping POSITIVE> and all fingers crossed. The day I got that info about the surgery for that, the spinal special rang to say they had an appointment for his spinal surgery, it has to be put off untill we see the outcome of this thyroide one first. XXXXXXXX June.
I will keep you and your husband in my prayers. Jesus is the doctor of the doctors and I am sure in my faith that when you are going to read this Jesus has already gave to your Sam the cirurgy he needs. Hugs Lucia

Hi June, My husband had a part of his thyroid removed there was no cancer, I will keep your husband in prayer that he will be Blessed and not have cancer God is so awsome he can fix what ever the problem is, have faith in knowing that. Keep us informed.
Pat B, Sam had his opp on the 27th, got results yesterday. They said it was cancer, but was contained, so hopefully it hasn,t already spread to the left side. Will see our DR on wed next week and he will find out from the hospital surgeon what we are to do next. He was to have spinal surgery as well, but that has been postponed. Also supposed to go to Sleep Study Specialest on the same day.................. What a night mare, trying to remember dates, my head is spinning. XXXXXX June

Sorry I haven't been on here for awhile, have been shifting house, going to specialests and Drs, and to top it all off Sam fell over on the 19th June while we were collecting stuff from the od house and feeding the dog. Sam stayed outside , next thing, I heard him moan, he had tripped over the dogs run wire and so next day we go to the hospital and find out he has to have two arms in plaster. One wrist is fractured and the othr is chippe. Since then we have been back to the hospital and had a new cast put on and a splint on the one that is chipped.THIS IS SO MUCH FUN> XXXXXXXX June.
Awe June sorry to hear. I do hope things start to get a little better for you all. When it rains it pours though. I've been recouping from an auto accident the end of May, this was after my husbands surgery in April. It just never ends. My prayers are with you.
Well I hope everyone gets better. This surgery thing can drive a woman mad! No wonder I am the way I am lol.
I am to have carpal tunnel surgery on Thursday in preparation for my total knee replacement surgery! Figured if I didn't get the hand done and had the knee done, I'd be hobbling along in my walker and when the bad hand went dead I'd fall over and do something else to myself. lol
I do hope all well with your surgery Pat for both the carpal tunnel and knee. Such wonders they've made in knee replacements surgery! Recovery time is amazing. Two friend of mine went through them not that long ago. Best of luck and prayer all round!!!

Pat B, best of luck with your surgeries. i can truely tell you that the knee replacement will go smoothly. my dad got his done a couple years ago and he has had the worst of it, (blood clott, and some other thing were he had to get it bent by the doctor.), but i know you'll be fine and it is worth it. my dad is sooooo happy now that he can ride a bike and walk the right way, something he hasn't done since he was very young. best of luck and speedy recovery.

Pat B, Best of luck for your surgery, hope you have a quick recovery. We have been to have a Bone Density Scan on Sam as he has just fractured both wrists, it turns out he has Osteoprosis, and will be on medication for the rest of his life. NOW he has to have Spinal surgery on the $th Aug. I am hoping he heals well and that this will be tha last of it for awhile. Almost 3 yrs of ill health is getting a bit much, not so much for me but for him.XXXXXX June
Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers for my surgery. Here I am typing already with the surgery having only been last Thurs and I won't get my stitches out till next Mon! I'm trying to be a good patient though. When I get pains in the hand, I just stop for a whle and baby it.
Oh my June, Sam sure has the issues with health doesn't he? I wish him (and you) all the best for good surgeries (if ya gotta have em) and speedy recoveries! Both wrists eh? Wow!
I don't expect I'll have the knee replacement till after the first of the year at best. Ok, hand is starting to throb so I'll go rest it now.
