Please help me get back on the forum !!

 Would someone please tell me how to get back on the forum ??? My computer was down. They took out evething. It's like starting  over with a new computer. I miss not talking to everyone. I have my first doll done and would like to send pictures. Thanks for your help.

I had a problem with signing in. I contacted the Secrist site. And they passed the message onto the person who takes care of the forum. Try that. Hope it helps!

I wouldn't think your computer being down would effect your sign in for the forum. I had a similar problem recently with my computer and was able to sign in after the complete reformat of my hard drive, so maybe the forum is having site problems. I'd try getting in touch with Pat B. the forum moderator for help. She'll probably know whats what.

   Hi Pat Buffington,

    My computer was down and they striped everything out of it. So of course my forum log in went too! no  So you please help me to get back on this wonderful fourm! Do I start fresh with a new sign on ?  Thank- you for you help.

    Hi Pat,

  I can't get the far left hand side of the site were you can see different questions and ideas. The top says 1-8 then it's 8-16 like that and it goes on. Also can't get into thelist of users. So I'm thinking their is something wrong somewhere. Thanks a lot for your help. Have  good day !!

  Thanks!  Pat and everyone else who gave me advice on getting back on the forum.  I don't care what it is all you ladies are wonderful about giving advise and help!! aww  Dan's going to help me with some pictures of my first one. I did Joey from BB so you see him. We might have to install the software for pictures again. When our computer went done they wiped out everything in it.It's like having a new computer and starting over again.no Well anyways back to Joey the hair isn't to good. To micro root what size needles should I get and what kind? I'm starting two more dolls. Joey's sister Josie form BB and Tibby from Secrist.  Thanks again ! Have a good day.

You're so welcome hun. Yes, I'd say everyone here in forum is pretty wonderful with help and hints!!! :)

It depends on how skilled you are with the needles. Some like the forked no barb German needles for micro rooting. some just like the 43 guage 3 barb needles. I still haven't gotten the hang of the no barb so I use th others. Mine are triangle shaped so only one barb at a time is used to pull the hairs.

You mentioned Tibby from Secrist... are you sure? I don't see anything like that on the site. More information please :)

     Hi Pat,  Thanks for all the help. I told you wrong the name of the doll from Secrest is 17 inch Taffy. Stephanie Sullivan did  her in the Secrest DVD on painting a reborn. I have my internal wash done on her and I'm also doing Josie from BB to go with Joey it's his sister. I have to tell you I really like following along with the DVD. When your new to this it's good so you can go at your own pace. You can stop when you want to catch up. with a class you would have to do you best to keep up and maybe mess up your doll !!! I Really like your avator doll Guppy I think I know what AV stands for do they still carry her?I would like to do some different size dolls and not just babies. Again thanks for all your help you and the women on this forum are GREAT !!!!!

Oh you are so welcome Linda. I really like Taffy. I did about 9 of her! lol She is also one of the dolls I did for my teacher certification to become a Secrist factory certified teacher. She is adorable isn't she :)

Thanks for the compliment on my avatar Guppy. Yes, AV is Apple Valley, Secrist's sister company. Yes they do still have her. She was one of the original 5 faces that Mr Secrist started that company with (it was Bubba, Guppy, Trisha, Tabitha, Tara to be exact!). When I got her I got the Sleepy limbs and the cotton bodyslip for 1.4 limbs. I really like the 1/4 limbs because they can wear real size 1 baby shoes instead of doll shoes.

I can't wait to see some pics of your finished baby in the artist showcase *hint, hint* hehehe
Yes, you know, I think we have a pretty exceptional group of reborners here in our little forum!
