I have just completed Taite, he is one of the triplets from Denise Pratt's preemies. Still have to do the other two's hair, But boy oh boy... did I struggle to root this vinyl/silicone mix. I like the touch of it but Secrist's dolls are much easier to root.
Thanx Mo, I'm having a hard time rooting the vinyl/silicone heads. There are more holes than hair on the second baby's head. But I will win the battle!! .... eventually.... I can't wait to see the end result.
I didn't know that it had a silicone mix. I have Tayla and I just didn't like her at all. I bought her and she is camera friendly if you know what I mean, but gosh I thought she had a hateful stare when I got her. I messed around with her a bit, but wasn't really into redoing her completely. I might pull her out after I see what you do with her and yes...the work is fantastic on the crying baby. I would be afraid to attempt the inside of ones mouth. yikes.

Thanks for the compliment Aviva! Well I think it is a combo of vinyl/silicone. It is soft and flexible not like Secrist vinyl. Tayla is actually a beautiful baby. I've posted all 3 of them so you can have a peep at them. I love them to bits. They are one of my favourite doll kits.
I've seen the post of your triplets and they are nice bubs!!! Yes, I believe that the BB kits are (at least the pink skin ones) vinyl/silicone. That gives them the smooth and squidgie feeling. I just fill the head with either my rice sock (not heated) or a bunch of stuffing to keep it stable enough to root. I also have Avery and some others in the pink.
Thanks Pat. I did put the sock in the head, but my problem was that the v/s mix was to thick. I had a hard time to get the hair all the way through the vinyl to enable me to glue it on the inside.
