If they were acrylic, then nail varnish remover or acetone it will make them go couldy and you would have to replace the eyes. I have been setting mine in with the clear craft glue or I think they use e6000. Eucalipus oil removes glue from eyelashes and should remove the craft glue. When I put my lashes on I use Tacky craft glue, it comes off with water. Hope this helps Ivy, you are still showing up as a guest, have you registered. XXXX June.

Since they might not be salvageable, you might try Secrist baby tears (aleens paper glaze) and see what happens. If it works you can just use them, otherwise you had to replace them anyway. Just a thought. :)

Do watch the eyes for cracking, peeling, or discoloration of the iris since you used the clear nail polish.

I will remember clear nail polish or baby tears, as I've done that twice!  The first time I replaced the eyes, second time I grabbed the thinner and poured that over the eye and wiped with a q-tip AND IT WORKED!  It took all the glue off, and of course the eyelash but it's easier to put a new eyelash on than to replace the eye and less expensive!   biggrin
