Not sure where to post this but I am new to the reborning world. I do sculpt OOAK babies and fairies out of prosculpt clay but I really wanted to try my hands at reborning. I didn't want to chance buying a kit so I got one of my own at the store. I ended up stipping a real cute vinyl newborn and did the first flesh wash? By pouncing. So far so good :D I am attempting veins and creases in a few and going to go find a tut on them somewhere.
My intro.. My name is Janis I am 28 and the mother of three little girls and one bun in the oven. We arent sure about the sex yet and hope to find out soon. Hubby and I have been together 10 years in march and he supports my entire creative side. I get to stay home and play as you can say :) Hope to get to know you all. I would show you my website which shows some work I have done but I am not sure if I am allowed.
Welcome glad to have you here. It is a nice friendly place and you can learn a lot. Everyone here is willing to share info and techniques. I think you can post your sculpts in the artist showcase. Others who sculpt have posted some. I would love to see your work. Janie
Janie, Wecome to the forum, you welcome to join the family, I am almost 62, I think I,m the oldest new born- reborner. I have only been doing it for about 10 mths so I,m no expert but there is a lot I information ,I am willing to sare. I, like some of the others have started out with porcelain dolls and you can read the rest in my biography. I have sold about 5 reborns and have won a first place in a doll comp in Australia. I have been mainly painting with inks ,but am about to start on Genesis, I just need a few more colours. Once again a very very warm welcome.
