I am doing ok. I have to get up at 6 AM to go to a show I'm doing tomorrow. It's a 1 dayer. I like those, set up, make your money (hopefully), then tear down and go home. It's 9 AM to 3 PM. I have my babies of course, and some jewelry I've made (sterling silver peices made by hand). :) I had a 3 dayer last weekend and made $60 (and it cost me $60 for my space).
I spent the last 2 days at a funeral and visitation for my great Aunt who just died last week. She was 90 and her husband is too. Saw many cousins I haven't seen for 40 years (so he tells me). My great Aunt and Uncle were married 70 years!!! I just found out a few days ago that she made porcelain dolls. I wish someone had told me before, I've been doing them for 20 years. But her daughter might send me some. Of course I HAD to show off my babies. I even handed out some cards for dolls and classes!!!
So I have been trying to play catch-up the forum, hopefully I'll get it all done soon. I'm still rooting my baby for the cover contest! So many things, so little time... :o
Pat b, As for funerals, they are sad, but 3 dayers they are hopeless in my oppinion. 9am to 3 pm is long enough, if they don't buy the first day the other 2 are just wasted time. I paid $450 in June at Winter Wonderland ,one of our best shows in City Hall Brisbane and the cost of the mtel ,fuel and tables, you might as well go there and give you goods away. I made more at Toowoomba and at the Curra Market, I sold Rosie for $350, and the lady has odrdered another one as a twin, so that makes up for the lousy days, also sold Zoe as Summer Rose One ebay and got $205 inc postage. The lady from Curra has rung me for Ideas to make the show more successfull, as it is a market with all types of things for sale. So I suggested a baby show, a 6-16 modeling section and a young talent show. They seemed very keen plus a photographer to take shots of the stalls and the baby and talent section, seeing it is only once a year. June M from Oz.
