i am totally new to this, i have a new mini baby and i am getting ready to bake the first layer of paint on. I watched the video about how to do everything but it didnt say what to bake it on....metal pan..etc... what do i use? cookie sheet, the rack what?
Don't use a rack for baking your babies because when it gets warm it can conform to the wires and make lines in your baby.
Just use a cookie sheet/flat baking pan lined with 2 layers (minimum) of parchment paper (pastry paper) that you can buy at the grocery store. You can use it over and over again until it starts to look like it's baking. It will start to turn brownish color.
Some use teatowels or polyfill. Personally I think these can be considered dangerous if a thread or fibre gets either too hot or too close to the element (electric ovens).
hi, i just bought a authentic reborn from hobby lobby, one of the secrist babies, have a question why does this kit not come with flesh paint, and what do you paint it with besides the three paints that it comes in the kit? i only have air dry paints and i know they will not work together, i think. thanks b58
As I understand it, the Course 1 through 3 Authentic Reborn DVD teaches you how to make a newborn baby by breaking the tasks down into small steps. Each DVD builds upon the skills learned in the DVD for the previous Course.
Course 1 and Course 2 provide only the materials and paint colors needed to accomplish the tasks specified on the DVD.
The technique for applying the flesh or foundation layer(s) is covered in Course 3 and includes the complete set of paint (flesh included). Each Course DVD teaches more detailed painting techniques so as you go from course to course, you will learn more painting methods and lifelike applications.
If you have more questions, please ask. Have fun!
