I went to a $5 market today and sold Rosie as Rosie and then got a second order from the same lady to do her as a boy, $350 each for a$ 5 stall not to bad, what do you think. Better than $250 table at a doll show. I so pleased anyway and didn,t have to wait on ebay for 6-7 days. Only got paid for one today but deposit when I order her in a month.(LATWTTB) (Laughing all the way to the bank) , only it's hot in my hand.June M from Oz
Where abouts did you go June?? Are you in NSW?? I would love to get a cheap table and try to sell my dollys at some type of markets but i have no clue where and which markets
Rosemary, It was just a country market at a hotel -motel and plenty of parking space. Plenty of people passsed my stall as they went to the bar. A lot of Ladies were interested in making dolls, but I will only teach Porcelain when we first set up. Not that I am worried I can,t teach, but once they do one or two , then their on their own, able to do it by themselves. Not much priofit in that, unless I had the hide of a rhino, I couldn't charge $300 for a weekend. I have with the porcelain, but that is because we pour, clean, and fire before they get to do their dolls and they make two in the weekend worth about $500.June M from Oz.
Crafty Chick see if ther are any markets near you and attend them, ask for a covered area, some times you need to take a table. Craft shows also, at least if you have cards with you they can contact you latter. june M from Oz.
