Here is my 3rd baby, and my 1st Genesis Heat Set Paint reborn. She's a tiny one at 9" long. I've done all the painting steps, but I want to know if I should do any more painting before I begin rooting her. Her eyes are yet to come. My camera took horrible pictures today, so you can't go completely by the pictures. Her skin is actually more mottled than it appears, but it may still not be mottled enough. The pictures made the lips look bright, but they're really quite purple and pale. Any tips would be helpful, and when my camera decides to be good I'll post better pictures of her. Thanks.

Awww, thanks Rosemarie. I'll take any tips or comments, good or bad. She's my 'test' baby before I start on my Jasmine kit. I've started rooting her with blond mohair from 'Mohair by Debbie'. The mohair is lovely and great to root. I'll post pictures of her with it when I'm done. Ladies, comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i think you've done well, a berrenguer baby like the one you've done is always going to look somewhat dolly so if you ignore the dolliness of the sculpt and just look at your painting i think you've done a fine job. I can't see any veining but i know that doesn't mean there not there - they're often not very visable in photo's. Look forward to seeing her with hair and eyes always makes a big difference.
Given that this is your test baby I think your Jasmine is going to look lovely

Actually, I don't think she's a Berenguer. I just found her thrown around in my little sisters toy box and decided to rescue her. Her vinyl was very nice colored and soft, too. But yes, she does have a bit more of a dolly look, which I expected. She has veining and even little capillaries on her cheeks, but my camera didn't pick them up at all. I'm done rooting her hair, so now I'm going to pop in the eyes and root her eyelashes and eyebrows (more test work). And then she needs a new body and outfits. I'm just having fun with her, reborning always is so much fun. :) I'll be a good girl and finish her before I start on Jasmine, though Jasmine is just begging to be painted. Anyways, thanks all for the nice comments. I'll post her new pictures soon.
