Hey everyone, sorry i've been MIA (missing in action) over the last few days... no reason, just been a little down, a little more inclined to isolating ... sorry.
anyways, i was wanting to know - who was the person behind the secrist Zoe sculpt.
Naomi, Iknow how you feal, but sometimes you have to talk to yourself, and chase away those blues, I should know, if you don,t now,Sweetie, you will get stuck in a rut. The reason I started making dolls, Was because I had a nervous breakdown. This will help you and how ever else. Take ten minutes a day for yourself, lay in a relaxed position , think of some place warm and safe, start with your Toe,s and work up your body, saying this in your head at each step of the way. My feet are getting warm and heavy, and they will ,do this method all the way up to your spine, neck and shoulders and head. Iknow it works, please try. I was under medication for two years, I saw the signs with one of my daughters, and we have worked it through. Sorry if you all think I,m a bore.LUV june M
You know hun, I used to have that e-mail around and I'll have to find it again. I'm not sure if it was Cheryl or Michelle (?) but I'll get back to you on that. Missy, Zoe, and Lollipop all came out at the same time. They were supposed to be triplets (early on in the Secrist) but became individuals shortly after that lol.
We did miss you dear. But everyone needs a break now and then. And the advice from June is some we all should take now and then. Take some time, do something for yourself :) Glad you're back.
i found the answer it was cheryl hill, she did lollipop, zoe and missy. i found she website and she has pics of them in the clay form etc. She's made dolls for secrist, ashton drake and a great many others. Very tallentled woman.
anyway, i'm ok... promise!! and i am going to get out a little this afternoon to a movie with a friend.
ebay sales have dropped almost to half of what i was getting a month ago... so true about the recession we're going through!! i also can't help feeling dissapointed. I know its a sign of the times, that ppl just don't have the money to spend with the riese in intrest rates and the like. It seems the majority of people have seen a big decline in their final sales... still i've still seen a few babies going for up to $700, but not a consistently. My own sales are bearly hitting the $300, compared to a month or so back when i was hitting $600.
I'm playing around a little with my ebay sales, i've started 2 now at only $99 instead of my usual start of $220-$250. I'm interested to see if the lower start gets people more inclind to bid and therefore more attached to the baby and if it will mean more action on the bidding that might effect the final closing value of the baby.
Starting at $99 i'm seeing more bids already, still with 5 or 6 days to go. Where as when i started much higher, babies were left till the last day to get any bids and only 1or 2 at that. So we'll see i guess. Will be interesting anyway.
I,m glad to know you are having some time out, it will be good for you, don,t keep checking the ebay and you might get a surprise. Have a cooffee and window shop, thats what I do. Love June M
