This is my sister everyone! We are both hopelessly addicted to reborning!! She helped me with supplies and advice to make my baby cause I don't have all my supplies yet! Can't wait for you all to see her babies.......they're beautiful.

So if your Carol's sister does that make you my aunt-in-law... or is that what is mean by the phrase aunt-"once-removed"??? LOL .... anyway maybe we'll meet someday... the whole family is planning on moving back to tassie, but wont be for about another 2yrs. How cool would that be, the three of us could get together and do some babies together.

hey *yay* you got some pics up after all... people probably havent realised b/c they (the pics) didn't work in your first post in this topic... they probably haven't been back to check... anyway, i think your progress is very evident in your babies. with everyone we just get better and better... i'm still finding that to be true of myself.

i think you need to post some more pics of these little ones its so hard to tell much from only one to two pics... who is it you have there?? i recognize luca but who are the others??

Hi, Yes I love him, everyone who sees him reckons he looks so real....I have just finished another baby ..he was Christopher -Rienhart Wolfbert? Kit..Don`t know if I`ve spelt that properly..I`ve lost my piece of paper with the name... I`m not that happy with him really, he seems to have a bouff head!!! Hopefully he will grow on me

nateka, looks like your getting a few under your belt now. How long ago did you get started and how did you come across reborns?? i find it funny that auntie carol had you, her sister, doing them and me her niece all round the same time. Makes it seem like such a small world.

i guess "the bug was bound to bite" auntie carol sooner or later!!

I saw some Reborns at a Doll and Teddy Fair in Hobart 10 or so months ago and decided I would like to make one....I left it for a while as I couln`t find any one who knew anything about it..then I started looking on ebay and bought a DVD on reborning etc. and purchased from the net (nothing in Tassie that I could find) and started reborning about 4 months ago...I have been making dolls of one sort or another for years..I`ve sold some and give some away, I can`t wait to start my next Reborn which will be a 'Luca' again I am trying to make her a dress at the moment..I will post a picture when I am finished..by the way I have tried the German needles 40gr. and don`t like them one bit..leave holes with no hair!!! I`ve tried them on soft vinyl and firmer as well, mine have very short pointy end, do yours?

Nateka, I love the first and the last one, I think they are lovely, the one sitting is a little over dressed for a baby, but that is only me, unless the pink arround her neck is her body. Well we are all still new at this craft and any comments are very helpfull. I,d love to see a clearer pic of fern. Itook photos of Lollipop yesterday but I cant find them, so I,ll Need Help from My daughter if she has time to help me. weirdface June M from Oz

nateka, yeah the "end" you discribe is what the german needles look like... sorry you didn't have as much luck with them... maybe it really is a personal feeling... but i'm just in LOVE with them and didn't have any problems from the first time i tried them. Only with the 43g i end up with holes and no hair in it unless i'm using a first shear fine hair. So mostly i use the 42g, but if your having issues with the 40g then i'd not recommned working with the 42g as its a finer needle and you're likely to have even more problems if your already having issues with the 40g.

wonder what it is that i do as i use them that might make a difference. I feel like all i do is to stab through my hair on a directional angle... hmmmm don't know what to advise you. Sorry i caused you to waste money on them.

for me to go back to a feelting style needle would be beyond frustrating... funny i guess we all have our preference and things that work for us personally.

Yes niece...you are right!! The bug did have to bit and it sure has done that! I first saw a reborn doll advertised for sale in one of the weekly women's magazines maybe 2 or so years ago now and instantly fell in love with it. It looked so life like. I wanted one, but being so expensive knew it was not likely to happen. I had never seen one ........that was until I saw a real one that Naomi had made, which was around the same time Nana Delma began making them. That's when the bug really bit!!! lol

Hello June, My new Granson is named Nait...I have 5 Grandkids aged from 17, 16, 15, 5, and new one is 1 month old and beautiful of course and such a good baby...I think his Mum would like me to make a reborn in his likeness...I will have to find the most handsome Reborn kit in the world!!!
