Hello everyone, A while back I posted about the trouble I was having with Ember. I love the Ember sculpt but whatever I tried never worked, She was to pink and I was having trouble getting the paint round the face. A few ladies gave me some very good advice about not being to crittical as she was my favourite and to leave her and go back to her when I had chance to get my head together. I want to just say a big thank you to all the ladies who gave me some very good advice. I have now finally finished my Ember. I literally put her together and dressed her half an hour ago and I nearly cried. SHE IS BEAUTIFUL. I can't believe the result that I have finally ended up with. I am totally happy with her colouring and her hair is the best that I have ever rooted. She has lovely medium/dark brown hair, quite sparse like a newborn. YAY! I'm so happy with her. I will try to get my hubby to help me get some pictures put onto the artist showcase when I take some, I have no hope of doing it myself, I'm not a computer person, LOL.
Sorry for waffling but like I say I just had to say thanks to all you lovely helpful ladies who inspired me. I now feel I have the confidence to tackle any kit of any shade or colour, LOL. Karen. X
Karen, I,m so happy for you, it is something out of this world to have the feeling you have created something special. My first realy ammazing feeling was when I did Shay about 30" porcelain doll , dressed her and went and bought a rocking horse for her. When my husband came home, I went to the door as he was walking in and said, Dad, look what Mum got me for my birthday present, he said Oh, goodo kiddo, he,s Irish. We have talked to our creatiuons since then and have them all arround us.June M from Oz.
Me too!!! It's a simply indescribeable feeling (unless you've been there, done that) for most people to understand! But I do and so do our ladies (and gentlemen) here in forum. I'm so glad we have this so we can share in your joy.
I am proud of you that you could step away till the time was right (some can't do that and then they end up with a bin-baby). Congratulations on your newest bub!!
