here is a link to my youtube video of my Alexia (see her other photo's in DD Jonas post in artist showcase).

the video is poor quality, its the first time i've used this function on my camera and i don't have the steadiest of hand so it shakes around a bit which can make it a bit hard to actually tell her chest is rising and falling, but you can still see it and get the idea. If i wasn't pushed for time i'd shoot it again but for now this is it.

Oh my goodness, that looks freaky real! I've never seen a breather before, didn't even know they made anything like that to add to the reborns. That's amazing. Thanks for sharing the video!

You can only get them by buying an Ashton Drake collector doll, they have about 3 babies that come with the breathing mechanism. I then pulled it out of that to use in this one. Its so sad that you can't just buy the box as a supply from anyone and have to spend over $100 on a doll you don't ness want just so you can then pull it apart. Though i did reborn the collector doll and sell her without the breather and she went well i think around the $350 mark, so i still make money on her even though i really only wanted the box.

Then b/c i only had the one box i could never decide which baby i wanted to use it on. But i think it makes Alexia a special little girl and i'm happy i waited to use it in her.

maybe mrs secrist will see this and come up with a breather box from secrist we can hope! your baby is lovely i sooooo want a breathing box i think i emailed you once to ask if you had one i rember you saying you were keeping it for a baby and she is just beautiful too my favorite at the moment is voice boxes hehe i put one on little snukums much easier to get a hold of :)

hehe - alexia has a voice box too.... *big grin* it has slumber breathing, shnookie noises its so cute to have both the breather and the voice box... so real i want to keep her all to myself.

Five of the 20 for the show have voice boxes.

Naomi do you use the round voice boxes? I didnt find the sound too good with them ive moved to a square one really thin I dont put it in the body it slips into the nappy or next to the baby if interested ill send you an email (((hugs)))

Also, there is a music box that we use in 10" Baby Carol it makes the head move , plays different tunes and one little girl said to her Mother when she took hers home, Look Mummy she,s breathing.weirdfaceJune M

June sounds like you have the wrong baby -- just clik on the link in the first post, its and active link put your mouse on it and clik it will take you straight to the you tube vid, you don't need to go to youtube and search for it. the link is there in my fist post.


Leah - yeah i've tried both the voice boxes that you mention - the flat one is good, i just superglue it to the tummy :) and the sound is better on these ones. The round ones were a pain as you had to sew them in the body.

i know the moving box you mean... i wonder if you can get them and take the music bit out... hmmm just another option that might be adaptable to reborning...

Some of the PG dolls had breather boxes too. I have one around here somewhere, but I never did try it out.

YaY! you make the baby breathing video!!!! NAomi she looks like a real real baby!!! she is going to be the star of the show for sure!!!
Now you are talking about breathing boxes and vioces... do you know something about the hearts?

Naomi, the music box unscrews, but I think it hold the box together. You dont have to put the wind up key in it and not as much weighting pellets.weirdfaceJune M from Oz
