number of layers ??

Hi Everyone, i was just wanting to know roughly how many layers of paint you would do on your reborn kit & is there a rough minimum ?? thanks heaps !!! :o)

gosh i hope there is no limit or im in big trouble lol i do anywhere from 3 layers to 15-18 :)

Me too~ I mean I do at least 7 or more. guess it depends on if you're doing the 3 step version by Danielle Zweers on the mini 6" babies or not.

I did the Triplets, not happy with them because I used a heat gun on the 3rd one and over did it, so I think I,ll strip their heads and redo them. otherwise it will Be $98 wasted.weirdface

what a question - gosh... i think 7 or 8 is probably the least amount of layers i use (secrist vinyl and LDC vinyl works well with just this smaller number of layers), but it really depends on the kit - the base vinyl colour, even the vinyl mix as some vinyls cover so wonderfully and easily other can take me 15-20 layers to get a really natural complextion that i'm happy with.

I would guess that I usually do about 8, though it depends on the doll.

Thanks !!! i was just looking for a generalisation, and not a 6" but a 19" or so doll ...
Gosh anywhere from 7-20 layers !!!! on my first reborn i did about 10 layers... i like a good coverage though, so up to 20 it is !!!!!!!! i think any more than 20 layers would drive me nuts lolol !!!!!! :o) thanks again ladies !!!

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THE OVER DID IT!! I DO ABOUT 8-10 AND IF I'M DOING AN AA DOLL IT  10-13 DEPENDS ON THE COLOR I'M LOOKING FOR.
