I found this website (I'm sure you guys have visited it too, but not sure if I am allowed to mention the website) that is selling mohair for 5.99??? There has to be a catch right? That is the only place that I have found it cheaper than 9.99. I could understand it being maybe a dollar cheaper than most, but a 4 dollar difference? That sounds a little weird doesn't it? I want to order some from there, but I figure there is some sort of catch...what do you think?
Some times the cheap stuff is cheap, some times it is inexpensive because of the volume of sales and the fact that the seller sells nothing but fibers. I won't list web addresses, but you can figure them out for yourself...I have used mohair and other speciality fibers from all of them.
livingfelt, weir dolls, the felted ewe... all have NICE fibers and carry rooting needles although they are refered to as felting needles. alpaca direct has great fibers and low prices for those who like to use high quality alpacha as well as mohair...
Decide for yourselves.

i purchased some from Hong kong at that price, it was called Miricle Mohair. It looked nice in the pic's ... it looked fantastic when it arrived. So shiny and perfect in colour and tones... but then i took it out of the bags and felt it -- it was like straw, no softness to it. It was almost plastic in feel to the point that i'm almost sure it is a synthetic and not real mohair - even though that is what it was sold as.
so in case this is the same one, give it a big miss.
You will find varying prices on mohair. Some of it is related to to quality; some is not. I bought some from BB (not the premium stuff) and it cost more than what I got from PC but was not as nice. You will also find that if you buy from companies that sell the fiber for spinning or crafts other than reborning, they don't usually charge as much.
