I've been busy working all day on a custom order look-a-like.
The woman sent me the one pic of her 9wk old son she wanted done. Would love some feedback. The childs expression is an unusual one and the sculpt i've used is the best match i could find.
The real child is in the top left of the picture, the others are the doll. I've not yet assembled him & just put the limbs and head on a suit to give a general idea.
I've just sent this little pic mock-up to the mother to see what she thinks, but its late where she is so i don't expect i'll hear her thoughts till tomorrow. But would love so honest feedback from you ppls too.

Fantastic! You've done a beautiful job! The doll you've selected has the perfect expression. The mommy will be thrilled!
BTW, I've been wondering if somehow you've secretly been given more than 24 hours in your day! You have such fire and energy to create so many lovely little babies! How do you do it?
lol - yes i've been secretly stealing more hours in my days!! *giggles*
Its become my life, i'm completely consumed by my work. I just cant get enough of it even though it seems to be all that i breath.
thanks for the complements on this baby, i hope the mother is please - i feel its a pretty good likness but i'm always nervous that the buyer wont be happy when it comes to custom orders.
thanks guys. Got email from the mother this morning, she's really happy with the outcome. She's showing hubby when he gets home from work - she wants a little more thickness to his hair but thats about it.
Well hun, there's your answer!!! It's not what anyone other than the customer thinks, really. I mean we can give you comments or tips but in the long run it's she that will be paying you if she likes it and it seems as though she's over the moon on this one. Yes, good job on the closeness of the facial features!
thanks - i mean lets face it, its not the most attractive baby. I feel just awful saying so, but a mothers love right?
I'd never be happy selling this bub or even do one like this -- again horrible of me. But i did the best i could to match the pic the mother sent me. i guess there is a kind of cutness there in that odd kind of way.
He,s just like the picture, almost picture perfect. I will have to invest in a decentcamera, have been taking pics again today in naturel light , not very good. think the phone ones are better . Congrats.June M
I think it's a pretty good match. The baby in the dirst pic has an unusual mouth shape. That would be hard to match. I agree that the hair should be a bit thicker, and perhaps a little less shine on the mouth.
I know what you mean about him not being the cutest baby, but I think that too many of us idealize babies. Very few real babies look like the Zoe sculpt ot Knoops' Luca though--just like most adults don't look like models. But some of the "uglier" sculpts are often more realistic.
