I bought the Jonas sculpt by Eva Wokalbinger. I've painted the face and limbs. Love the face, hate the limbs. They didn't paint well and are not well sculpted. Jonas (now Juliette) will be *my* baby so I'm not in a big hurry to get her done. The problem is I need new limbs! She is a big girl. Any thoughts on what limbs for a larger baby might work?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Oh, here is a link in case you've not seen the sculpt.
The new soft vinyl limbs for the Elly Knoops Hanna (3/4 limbs) are large - would they be any good? I mean the "real" Elly Knoops limbs, not those webbed ones that came out.
Hi, I think Elly Knopes limbs are realy lovely. I used them on Marcie Ellen a La baby head, I named her after my Mother. Her head size would be about a14" circumference, she is about a 22" baby. June M from Oz.
I technically cannot advise you but if it were me, I would go back to the DD site and check out all the other limbs they have for their other sculpts. That way it would be the same vinyl so there would be no difference in looks. KNIM? There are several other limbs I would choose there.
I've heard Ariella is a good size baby. I'll check into her limbs. Thanks you Buffington! I appreciate your position but you make an excellent point about getting my limbs from DD so I don't have to worry about problems with vinyl matching! Otherwise I think I'd go with the Luca limbs!
Yes Ariella is a good sized baby. I have her (and I ordered an extra set of limbs cause they are ADORABLE and well done!) and I'm about half way done with her. I'll post a few pics in the Artist Showcase. They're not great pics so don't laugh too hard! hehehe
The new Luca limbs are nice. But I'm a perfectionist with my babies so ya, I'd do DD for limbs if it was me (IMHO)> :) Glad I could be of service :)
Go into the website and click on store. Then on the left side click reborning supplys; doll parts & bodies; soft vinyl limbs; then click on the ones you want. The price went up again.
