How to post pics of your babies!

OK, before I continue, please remember that the only place you can post actual photos/pics is here in the "Artist Showcase". All other topics and threads will have to be just links (thats the deal!)!

When you click on reply or post a new topic it will open a new page for you to put  your comments as usual. Down under the box where you type, you should see attach image and a box. Just click that box and it will add down at the lower section of your same page some long boxes and a browse button. Just click that browse button, go into YOUR files on your own computer (if thats where you have them) and just click on the pic you want to put in the forum. It will then be listed in the long box. Then click upload photos/pics at the bottom of the page and... taddaaaaaaaaaaa you have uploaded your pics (you have to wait till it actually uploads them). Then just type your comments as usual in the large box and click submit post.
When you do that and go look at your post, you will see your post and your pictures!!!! That's all there is to it. If you want to edit, I think you have just a few minutes to edit and then after that it won't let you.

Hello Pat B, that sounds like I might be able to do that, and not feel so dumb at not being able to post a photo.

Hi, by the way, can you count up all the posts I have posted  because I thought I had to put saju13 my email address to post on the forum, I must have posted dozens by now/. June Mweirdface

I think as June of Oz you had about 46 posts before but I can't add them in to your current one. And it doesn't matter anyway how many posts anyone has here. :)

I agree.  I've been on other forums where people just posted to get more posts.  Yeesh.  June, don't worry about how many posts you have.  It is really more a matter of quality, not quantity!

June, I love the eyes on the first pic. How they're looking slightly up. That's great realism. And the little fair haired baby in the light blue looks just like my nephew. Adorable!

It will let you upload and store a max of 6 pics for changing your avatar. All you have to do is click on one of your pictures and click on "select avatar". Then go down to the bottom of the page and click submit. That will get your avatar under your name on the left!

Hi, Everyone,  It finally happened for me again. The photo,s above show some of my dolls at the show. The little one in the black and white is my sculpt of Madeline, she got best of section at the Sydney show a few years ago. Pat B she is the one I was talking about. Do you think I,d be any good at reborn sculps? The photo,s aren,t real good, hope to get new camera soon. Brian from nl reborn is in pale blue at the show. June M from Ozweirdface

I also have done porcelains for 19-20 years. She is very nice. Yes, I'd say you should try your hand at sculpts! :)

I will try to include a pic of my Shay that was the second porcelain I ever made. She is 28" seated & has Masterpeice soft silicone eyes. I handmade her dress in yellow pin-dot with sheer voile over it and porcelain buttons in the back, took one leg to the shoestore to find her patent leather MaryJane shoes (and got strange looks from the people there hehehe). I even hand made her full armature inside her body.

I entered her in a ceramic & doll show and took top 1st place. It was down to the wire as the judges took off her clothing and her wig because the points were that close. Luckily I cleaned allll the seams. even under her wig! I had thought to sell her several times but she just looked at me and I couldn't. I stil have her.

He Is Great! Especially for your first!

Um If You buy a secrist oven thermometer, you can keep an eye on the temperature. The Temperatures that the vinyl can withstand are 265 Farenheit 130 Degrees Celcius
and you cook it for 8 mins

hope that is not too confusing for you! =)

Hi Linda,
Thanks for the compliments on my Joey !
Hmm well for the hair if you want it to look like mine you can start by rooting little by little in pyramid-like rows , I rooted a very little bit it might look like too little at first but once you style it with gel and water it will show up more ,I like to start from the middle of the head and root the hair in four directions ,down the back of the head, down the front, and down both sides, once I finished rooting the hair I nipped a little off the front to give it a more realistic look , I used a 42 gauge needle .
I hope this helped a little , I will try to add pictures of the back of the head, my computer won't download the pictures so I might not be able to.
Brittani

It doesn't look too bad. What did the original doll face look like?
He needs the line up his nose removed, the lips on either side of the sucky blister need smoothing/rounding, and is that going to be a cleft in his chin? And what are the lines on his upper cheeks under the outside of his eyes?
Ok, that's all I can see right now. Hope this helps (and you might want to think about posting this under the "sculpts" section of the showcase. might be seen more there.

Hello
Here are my three latest babies?  I'm still fairly new but what do you ladies think so far? The first one is a Chase kit, second Maya and third a Jaden.  Jaden was the toughest as far as coloring shes a BB baby and I used the sponge technique from "I have a secret" biggrin Worked wonderfully

From what I can see, I like Jaden the best. Looks like you color corrected for the pink very well.
Can't see much of your Maya but you may want to tone down her cheeks a little, as they might be a little too much on the pinkish side and just a little too pronounced.
And your Chase looks good from what I can see. What color did you use on his nails? Did you wig him or just root a lot of hair?

Yup! :)
Then when you post in here (you can post pics instead of links in here) there should be a box at the bottom of your posting box to post pics and upload them right from your computer. use those instead of the one on the top of the page. That way we can enlarge them to see them better and they won't be so large in the first place. :)

Marlene, The pics of your babies are a bit hard to see, as I have learnt from the forum, you need to take them in natural daylight, even if it is near a window. I can see the colouring of the last baby and she looks nice, she may nead a little more shape and colour to her lips, but not very much. I hope this helps. XXXXX June.

Linda, He looks realy nice for your first bub, his eyebrows look to be evenly placed and his shading and skin tone is nice also. With his hair you could try styling mouse so it doesn't look as fuzzy. But as for a hat that is your choice, I put some on my boys, and use ribbon or bonnets on the girls. XXXXXXX June
