I am new at reborning and have just finished my second little doll. I have had this prolem with both dolls. I begin the process in the center an dit looks good. Later I see that the hair on the top has broken off. I do not have this problem on any other part of the head. I try to re-root the area, but it never looks right--you see lots of little holes and sparse hair. I use a 40 needle. I go in at an angle and the hairs grab, but eventually the hairs on the top of the head break off. Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you
when you move out from the crown of the head, are you holding your baby/head on the area you've already rooted? or leaning that part of the head on another surface? You might be rubbing at it while you work other areas, this can cause the hair to rub out or break off.
Try to hold your baby by the face or other area that has not yet been rooted to keep the work you've done from being messed up.
You could try sealing the top part of the hair inside the head before you move on to do other areas - this will help the hair stay in better -- however it would then mean having to wait till the glue from sealing the hair to dry, thereby holding you up. But its just a suggestion.
I don't understand why your having problems in re-rooting the area though, hmmm not sure on what to advise you on this - hopefully someone else will be able to answer this part of your question.
Thank you, I did use the same hair. It does say it is premium, but being new at this, I really dont know about quality. I am working on a new practice headand I will try all of these suggestions.
