I'm working on both Tulip and Jasmine, and although they are both 19 inch dolls, their head sizes are remarkably different. Tulip's head is as large as some of Secrist's 22 inch dolls, and Jasmine's head is not much larger than Taffy's.
So, my question to all is, have you exclusively used 19 inch limbs on Tulip and Jasmine, or have you done something different? If you have changed it up, what have you tried, and how did it work?
Good question. I've not done anything personally with either of them so I can't answer from experience. I can tell you that people who make these dolls frequently change limbs either for the reason you are talking about (they don't like the ones they come with ) or because they prefer different limbs. What I've seen people do is lay the limbs with the head and take several photos and then see if the new limbs seem to "fit." The photos can be helpful in getting a good look and you can ask others for their opinion ;)
Look at the doll in my avatar, that is an AV/Secrist head (it was AV head before there was a Secrist) that was to be put on the Corey body. I put it on the 30 inch body as it is also larger and it looks fine. One of these days, I wish the folks at AV/Secrist would measure all the doll heads in both diameter and height and publish those so we would know what heads could be put on different bodies than their intended ones.
