Has anyone worked with Sheila Michaels dolls before? I have one that I bought off Ebay and the head is lumpy in the back. Is this normal for her dolls?

No I don't think so. I think the people who were selling them were supposed to issue replacement heads (don't quote me confused.gif). I heard there was a big thing going on about that in another forum.

Hi, yes they where replacing them at one stage, i dont think they are anymore though.
you can however, reborn baby as she is,
1. heat the head up a little so it is a tad soft
2. use a good quality (we would call it builders adhesive in Australia thick pastey sort of glue) smear that all around the insdie 'skull' of the head including the face etc
3. push it so it is firm and fairly flat, pour in some plastic weighting pellets so it sticks to the glue
4 then useing a good thick stuffing i used the cotton batting sort of stuffing, but you can use clean calico scraps just something firm, pack the head till you cannot get one more bit in it

5 and then let it dry.

this sort of stretched the 'lumpy bits out a bit and brings it back into shape, but remember to use a warm head

I have done 4 heads this way a good 14months ago and they have not changed since.
If you are selling them i would say somethign about it though, but if it is for yourself its a good way to stop it going further
