Well I've just gone and purchased the secrist starter kit course 2 - preemie. Waiting on it in the post.
As ive done some more research, ive realised this starter kit doesnt come with flesh paint but you just paint on blush/ tone, is that right?
my other question is i really like the babies with veins so I purchased the pre mixed heat set vein paint. Would it be possible to do veins on the doll with the preemie starter kit or should i not attempt this?
My problem is ive saved up for this kit and while i'd love to attempt more dolls in the future, i'm counting on doing this one properly (not a test baby if that makes sense!)
Hi and welcome. You can definitely do veins on the preemie if you want. Find some good pix of preemie babies to get an idea of their veins. You can also check out numerous videos online.
BB has some "baby skin" paint that's pretty good to use as a flesh base.
No problem. I finished my "Zoe" using just the DVD provided, and took LOTS of pix. She's posted in here somewhere, just search for Taylor/Zoe, or posts by me.
Then I took her apart and started veining her. I have other things going on, so she's still a work in progress.
Hello Kimi13 and welcome to our family forum. We're all pretty friendly and caring in here and we have lots of information to share, so if you need to know something, search the forum with our search feature at the top of the page first, then if you don't find what you need, give a shout out to us :D
As far as the fleshtone paint, you could order it from Secrist, along with their veining tutorial. Lots of close ups. You can also post pics in the artist showcase or links in any of the other topic threads so we can see how you're coming along.
Best of luck with your first reborn, hope to see pics in the showcase.
