I've already introduced myself on Rules&Regulations, and Buffington has kindly sent me here to show what I've made so far.
Since I didn't reborn yet, I only have a few ooak dolls made with Super Sculpey. I'll present you with one of them, since others aren't for showing :)
I made the head and magnetic pacifier only, and no moulds were used there. I used Super Sculpey and some dentist tools. The eyes are acrylic (luckily, those can withstand baking!)
The limbs and cloth body are from an old doll I found in my old house. I've stuffed it with sand (I know it's not the best option, but it's the only one for me so far), and put on some cheap dolls clothes I found in a toy store nearby. I'm still not feeling comfortable enough to start selling these dolls, so I'm using whatever I find while I'm still learning :)
I'd really appreciate your opinions on my work. I'm a begginer to sculpting babies, so any feedback is welcome.

Its a good start on your sculpting babies. And lots of us artists use stuff we have available. You are right about not using sand, especially if you are going to ship out of the country, as customs treats sand as "bio hazard" and will not allow it to pass.
Lots of people start sculpting heads and use other bodies and limbs and that seems to be ok, but you need to be sure to list what you sculpted when you sell your doll.
If you'd like to continue to do sculpting, along with learning to reborn dolls, you can go to www.secristdolls.com and look in the sculpting section to see if there is anything you might want to try.
cute little sculptys, you have made a great start, good luck if you decide to go up the reborn route and hopefully we will see some of your finished baby's in the artist showcase x

Thank you! I'll give it a try with reborning this summer, but for now I'll try and improve my skills with sculpting. I've finished another doll yesterday, I'll post pictures soon, so stay tuned :)
Hi again :)
I've started my first rooting projects with some random vinyl dolls, and it's not as hard as I thought. Granted, I broke a few needles, but so far, I've finished one tiny doll's head and now I'm rooting a Berjusa with 43 gauge needles. It's fun and relaxing process. I'm not able to post pictures at this time, but I'll share them as soon as I can.
The next step is painting the dolls, but my paints haven't arrived yet. Can't wait :)
Here's my new baby, a yawning girl :) Made with Super Sculpey (head and limbs) and recycled cloth body and clothes from an old doll. Hope you like her!
I think it would make a great elf. The eyebrows are a bit high and the ears for a baby, start at the side of the eyes and finish at the end of the nose. Practice makes perfect. He just has that effect on me that with pointed ears he would be an elf. JIMOP> XXXXX June.
