Paisley baby kit to trade for new inner glow baby
Permalink

I'm so new here, and I hate to double post, I also doubt that any of you will be interested in this kit........but here goes anyway.

I have a Paisley kit I bought in the spring this year, she has been lightly painted, only a bit of veining and skin color, no blushing etc. (by me). I just can not seem to find the time or the patience right now to complete her. Plus I'm not crazy about this sculpt.

The kit includes the head, 3/4 arms and legs, doe suede body, and brown plastic eyes. What I was hoping to do was trade somebody for a new inner glow doll. I am really interested in one with the open eyes, I already have a Zoe with closed eyes that I reborned in a beginner kit (she is in my avatar). She turned out okay, I really don't have the "knack" with this. I thought I might take to it because I have always loved painting and drawing, but this art just hasn't really come to me. It is a very tricky medium IMHO, and I applaud all of you who are so talented at it!

Well, if anyone is interested at all please let me know. Oh I also thought I would mention that I live in a smoke free and pet free home just FYI.

Have you tried putting Paisley on ebay and selling it (since it's partially painted)? Then you could buy one of the inner glow babies. Just a thought. Or maybe you might like to go to our sister site www.avdw.com where we have the innerglow babies for sale also. They come with everything and you can order weighting bead and stuffing, a sleeper, a wig...
They also come in factory pre-painted with the regular vinyl. I mean if you're going to use them as models for your lovely crochet items or give them as gifts you might as well get them pre-painted as to not have to reborn them. They are lovely whether you get regular or innerglow.

I might have taken you up on your offer but I already have a Paisley that I have to reborn yet. I'm getting my new batch of inner glows tomorrow so I'm excited.

Sage... you don't have a Paisley? What kits do you have (if any)?
Mine are coming out of my ears! and out of the closet, and out from under the bed. and... rofl

Oh that is too bad that you already have a Paisley! But that is exciting that you are getting a batch of the new inner glows, I will be excited to see what you do with them. Will you be posting pics of them? They look so pretty in the on the website, I will be curious to see what you think of them in person.

Your idea of ebay for Paisley has certainly been running through my mind quite a bit, and that may end up being what I will have to do. Or I may just have to hold on to her until such a time comes that I do end up reborning her......who knows.

Btw, I am not familar with the factory pre-painted vinyl, I'll have to check those out. I love Secrist dolls, the sculpts are just so superb and adorable IMO. smile

Wow, you are a real reborning mamma! You've got it going on girl biggrin ! I am impressed. I have to say that your carter definitely does not look a bit like an alien to me, liking frowny and fussy faces seems quite normal since babies do tend to do that quite a bit in my experience wink

Sage, do you have any pre-painted kits that you might be willing to trade. Or do you mean that you don't have any kits at all. Sorry to be a bother, just wondering since you said that you love Paisley I would be willing to change my mind a bit.......

Just got my innerglow kits and they are lovely. You can do minimal to them (creases, eyes, lashes... ) or make them a full fledged reborn baby! Either way they are nice. I'll take pics as soon as I can. Waiting for sun lol

Plenty of sun here but still my pics aren't so good, have to wait for my daughter to come up and thke some decent one's. Today, I have been asked to do more reborning classes with a couple of children, going to use the cheap BB Conner kits, their mother said she would probably be able to get me more ladies. Fingers X'd. Need the money for Xmas. Sorry I cant afford Paisley as I have just bought a whole swag of the BB specials a few months ago. XXXX June.

Well, while I was waiting for the sun to be nice for pics, my oldest daughter flew in from Denver with her bf. They came last Thurs and went home today. Her little baby bump is not so little any more. She's due April 12 so I'll fly (or drive, weather permitting) out on April 10th with my youngest!

It was nice to meet her young man. He is very nice and takes care of her. Matter of fact he kind of dotes on her since she's pregnant. Kind of cute but...

So they left today to go back to Colorado. I cried (of course). Still am here and there but it's ok. There's always Skype. I'm really wore out from these few days. We stayed up late, got up early (or at least I did), talked a lot, went shopping (they have sales tax on everything there). I played chauffer/taxi for them. It was fun though. :)

So now I'll have to wait for more sun. It's night time here now (well early evening but the sun has set). :o

Awww, what a wonderful weekend! I would cry too when they left....I'm super close with my mom. Those were great times when I was pregnant and my babies were tiny, she helped me a lot.

Rest up and take good care of yourself smile

However the little Bub turns out Pat, I'm sure he will be the biggest and best gift your daughter and BF can bring into the family, as you know, my first had Williams Syndrome, well I would live those 5 yrs over and over again, if I could. They are sent to us for a reason, I believe. XXXXXX June.

Thanks :) We find out on the 4th of Dec I think if it's boy or girl. They don't want to be surprised. Her bf Doc (Patrick) was married before and he lost his little boy at 3 weeks old to SIDS. Very sad. He carries a locket of the baby's ashes. He wanted half but his ex won't give him anything. It's been 5 years I guess since the baby died but as you know June, you never get over that. So he's been very cautious. And he's autistic with dyslexia. He know's everything about pregnancy and has no problem telling anyone what he knows. But that's ok, informed is good. He is very smart and a high-functioning autistic. My neice is also high- functioning. They both have Asbergers (sp?). He is a computer tech.

I think he will make a fine dad for my first grandchild. I am trying to be with 2 of my other friends who are long distance grandma's and I kind of know what to expect. Still going to be hard though. I wasn't going to cry when she left yesterday but...

It's nice when you can be close with your mom.
