Well, here are a couple of ebay babies that I thought you should take a peeek at. This first one isn't particularly cute but the realism of a screaming baby is pretty darned good. Even down to the red blotchy face and veins being more prominent. IMHO But boy-o-boy! Look at that selling price! There are about 3 auctions going on where the baby's bid is well over $1000 USD! I thought this was a recession?!?!?!
The second one is a really well done AA done by Deanna from Iowa. Her babies are always phenominally done. Pay close attention to the poses and the accessories she has with her babies. These are premo selling features. Not only are the pictures sharp and clear, the poses are natural (not like having a sleeping baby with their arms or legs in the air, which is NOT normal), and she has lots of different poses and close-ups.
Read both of the auctions, some give gentle warnings (if you have... or I will remove your bid... no refunds... etc), I usually pick up a tip or two when I read the auction through. See what you think. :)
Anyway, I just wanted to give a little tutorial here on why some babies sell.
OK Duhhhh, so here I was carrying on about these 2 auctions and as Liselle pointed out... I forgot to put in the links. Sorry! :o OK, now they're in there. hahaha

I just got back and thought I'd check on my forumers and saw 3 comments in my thread! So I read it again, then went to Liselle's post and ... duh... you all probably think I'm daft! Darn woman! Talk something up and then don't even put in the links.... how silly! :l
So now they are in the first post where they should have been. Sorry! *embarassing blush* Someone else posted this week about being a "numptie", well I guess that fits me with this post eh? hahaha Ok, so now you can go look.
US$1594.00 and 8 mins to go. Well that anin't in my league. Have to stick to reborning my own. What do you all think about the inside colour of the mouth, it looks like it is bleeding to me, JIMHO. XXXXXX June
I think its the camera or editing....There were a couple of shots that looked too crisp on the edges, so I think there was a bit of photo editing done.
I dunno. Impressive job, but I wouldn't pay that much for that baby. I just dont care for the sculpt at all. But the painting is done very well!
No, personally I wouldn't pay that much for that baby either. But apparently a bunch of people would! :o
So here's another one that is getting up there in price. Carol is a really great reborner, and her rooting isn't too shabby either lol. You can see the rooting job is great and the coloring is super! Ruth Annette from the UK sculpted this little preemie, I think he's just delicious :)
Again, the painting, the posing, the quality of the pics... This is what I'm after in this post. It gives me personally something to strive for! I can't afford to go overseas and take a class from Ruth or Carol but if I could I'd be there in a heartbeat. Ruth used to use the JoSonja paints on her babies and they still looked real. She did an AD Charlie that was TDF!! It's all about the realism. And... as far as another post in forum (opening the nostrils), these 2 women are world class long time reborners and they usually DO NOT open the nostrils on their babies. So in case some customer asks again if someone would do it, I'd just say something like "not even world class reborners do that, so neither do I" hahaha

Sorry, I just put it in there. I read it again and OOPS!! Duhhhh me :o Oh, my bad! Ok, now go look. At least I got it in there before anyone else saw that I left it out :)
