She is finished, with a matte coat, and all put together, then I discovered this!
Marks on both legs, most obviously the one that looks like a 7. How do I correct this?? I tried wiping it off with a Clorox wipe, but it didn't come off. This wasn't there when I was painting!! I don't know if she pressed up against something as the paint was drying or what.
I really don't want to have to put acetone on, cos it will be near impossible to get the right color back....Help!!!
Looks like ink...hmm have you tried acne cream ? WIth the acne cream just rub some on the spot and let is set for a day then see if it came off. Might take a few tries. If that doesn't work maybe someone else will have a better idea for you to try.

Ok....I tried cleaning the spot, but the paint came off.
Long story really short, I ended up stripping the doll and hair, and the 7 is STILL there. All I can think of is that it must have been imprinted in the vinyl, but I never saw it.
If the acne treatment doesn't work, I'm not sure if anything will help. If it was fresh ink on cloth, I'd suggest hair spray, but doubt that would work on this.
If nothing works, my only other idea at the moment is to incorporate the 7 into a vein so that the the 7 is more obsure and hopefully not noticeable.
So sorry you went to all the work of painting only to discover the mark!

Yeah, me too. I ended up stripping off ALL the painting, disassembling the doll, ripping out hair, and rewashing. (Not in that order) I just cant figure out why it showed up AFTER I'd painted. Ugh....whatever. At least now I know how to do a biracial doll....
