I just had to share this beautiful chubby little reborn toddler that just attracted my eyes and caught hold of my heart from an eBay auction.
I think she's just the cat's meow.....

I'm thinking instead of Estelle or Vivian I may get this Bo-Elle kit..heck I figured that since either Estelle or Vivian will cost me from $100-$110 plus the body etc, and Bo-Elle will cost me $119 plus the body and belly-plate? etc...
My think is the painting itself will be easier than doing the newborns or babies..the hard part is micro-root a lot more hair since she is a 1 year old..I think it'll be funny and 28 inches is a big girl
I looked into her as well and I think it was something like 149 with the body and another 29.95 for the belly plate. Was a little out of my budget, but I do want to do a bigger baby.
I would get the kit first..then next month buy the body and belly plate..however I was just checking out the size the Rowland torso and it may be big enough to be used with this toddler kit(just the torso, not the limbs from the torso kit)
This is out of my budget also, but within my passion.
You know I think you may be right. They might work perfectly! I didn't even think of that. I'd love to try one but they are a bit expensive I have seen some kit a bit cheaper but I like the baby-like face and most of the others I've seen just don't have it.

Well I have two sets of the Rowland torso kits...they seem to big for 18-20 inche kits..and if the belly plate which cost $29 is around 10 inches long the torso with the cloth body as the chest area of it becomes the chest area of this torso..it's perfect
Creative I N has this Boelle kit with 3/4 arms, full legs same thing for DBSandie, but Irressist""""'s has the Boelle kit with full arms and full legs...since the torso needs full legs..why not go for full arms as well? All places charge $119 for the kit...
But no doubt I still want Estelle and/or Vivian even Celine is so pretty also...I'm racking my brains trying to decide...you see my main issue with my art is that I do not do cute or pretty face kits that good...
So far my best realistic babies were: Paige by Edenholm and this Puddin(crying baby not yet finished)are my best works
Well maybe if you tell yourself you DO do pretty babies then you will be able to eh? It is possible you just need practice. And maybe some techniques work better on pretty babies than not. Just relax.
I like pretty, I think pretty, and I hope I paint pretty. Although I can copy from a picture and capture the original artist look. You can do it if you try. XXXXX June.
I have Vivien, Estelle, Celine and others by Evelina W. She's one of my all time favorite sculpting artists. The sculpts are so very cute that I think the features will show well despite the paint job. You are destined to succeed! Just try not to worry about the painting, take your time, take a break when having doubts, and enjoy applying the colors to achieve your vision of how they should look.

Steve, this ois one of the post where your pictures where removed so please go put them in Artist Showcase. I also have posted in the wrong place in the past, this is the only way you learn. XXXXX June.
I think I want the BoElle kit. She is simply beautiful. I have Vivien and Had Celine but traded Celine off for a Mommy loves you. He is smaller but I traded even up. The Vivien is my personal baby since I have bonded with her so well. I have taken her many places. This year when we went to my husbands family reunion, some of the women asked if I brought any more babies with me. They were sad because I had just taken them out of the van and put them up. They wanted to show them to some relatives that had not seen them before that came to the reunion. I promised next year to bring a few. :)

First of all you are so lucking to have afford them they are just lovely..like Holly by Rowland..even if my painting isn't so hot..her face and its feature are just gorgeous
I'm on a pension, I have to save to be able to buy any kits, then I was lucky to sell 3 in this last month so bought some of the ones on Special from BB, If you are so keen on reborning, you have to set goals, that's what I am doing at the moment, I think if I have no other vices, then this is one pleasure I can allow myself. You don't have to spend a lot at once. Just purchase one kit, paint it and sell it even if it isn't for a large profit, it will allow you to keep your passion going. I have PM'd you Steve. Hope your day is better. A few of us on here have had a sad week, remembering the children we have lost. ALL at a very young age. XXXXX JUne.
Same here. Not on a pension yet but paying for two children in college and trying to keep up with the bills....reborning is my only hobby though expensive I try to sell the ones I make to keep it going and that a task at times. But I look for sales and such to find afforadable kits and save a bit for the more expensive ones I really want to do. There are times I have no kits at all to do =(
Tina & June, I am not on a pension but my husband will be in January as they are forcing him to retire. He's not old enough quite yet for Social Security but with Amanda in college, and me (although I'm only going to take 1 class at a time starting then, now I'm in 3), plus the $1300.00 our health insurance will cost per month, it will be a lot.
Since we were in the accident 3 weeks ago, me taking any job right now is not an option so we're loosing money there. So I'll either have to sell a lot of my kits if I want new ones, or try to save up for a year to buy one special one I like.
I should have a really big sale on my kits I have now. they are mostly Secrist/AV, plus I have 4 Paradise Gallery dolls for reborning that are still in the original box, with shipping box, and never been out of the box except for their pics. I do have to get busy on that. I'll let you know when I do the sale and I'll either post my website addy or put the pics in showcase.
