I am new to Reborning and I have attached a picture of my first ever baby. I have also included a link to lots more pictures. If you have time I would be very grateful for any comments, hints, tips and suggestions for selling babies. I currently have Elliot for sale on 'evil' bay but would love to find somewhere else more suitable for little babies than second hand lawn mowers!! But needs must as the Devil drives..!!
Look forward to hearing from all of you lovely Ladies (forgive me if there are any men reading this..!)
First of all...warmest of welcome to the forum =) and Secondly........WOW all I can say absolutely remarkable for your first one! I think your hooked now LOL. Excellent job congratulations!

A very warm welcome to you Lula, and it is another wow factor, from me also. My first 2 looked like dare I say................... And yes we do have a few males on here, one very young talented one that will most probably welcome you also. He has the with all to take his babies out and about. We all encourage you to do this, people think they are real and you can then show them you made it. And my next comment is, great one on you dusting off your sewing machine, I too want to dress my babies myself, but have been tied up with other personal stuff so only make the bodies. I have been sewing since I was 12 and can just copy a picture. Best of luck with your sales. I have 3 to take to the Coast in Oz. ( QLD ) on Thurs, with a sale for her to pick one of the 3. XXXXX June.

What wonderful replies from you all. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement.
Luckily I have a very supportive and understanding husband so he doesn't mind the spare room being 'taken over' by art and baby parts and is now quite used to seeing a 'baby in the oven'
I don't know if I have the courage to push my baby around the local supermarket but perhaps I should open another conversation in another thread for that little soap box..!!
I am really looking forward to getting stuck into another baby and I am so pleased to have found somewhere I can ask advice and just generally chit chat about reborning!
I'm sure you will love it here everyone is so nice here we all wish we lived near each other so that we could get together but we are scattered all over, I love it here I have learned so much from the others, its nice to have someone to talk to that loves this art form as much as I do and not think I'm crazy.
I haven't learned so much in my life since I been here.... If I get frustrated or nervous about doing a new sculpt... I will vent my thoughts and as soon as I push that publish button someone comes on and gives me (or anyone) the support me(they) need...

Hello, and welcome. I'm also new to the forum. Your first reborn is sooo beautiful. Its like you were born to do this. You are really truly talented. My first reborn is in the works right now. I'm also done, and will take pictures to post. But its clearly not as good as yours. Once again welcome. Lisa
Good News... I have just had a bid on baby Elliot for £600 and there is still 12 days left to go... yippeeee
reply to mactopolis - I haven't got any DVD's or Courses, I just look at pictures of other babies and dolls and work it out. I have got 2 editions of hello dolly magazine that gave me the idea and basics and I watch everything I can on youtube.com.
I have already started 2 other babies and I am already seeing where I went wrong on Elliot. Also I have just found out that there shouldn't be any smell when you 'bake' the babies so I think I have the oven too hot.
A big welcome to both our newest posting newbies, Lula and Lisa! We're glad you're here and hope you'll stay and post. As you can see, everyone is really friendly and helpful in our family of forumers.
As one of the moderators, I have to say... be sure to read the rules and know where to post links and pics ;)
Lula, you are like one of my students. She had never painted or rooted a doll before and she did wonderful! So realistic. And to see that you already have such a large bid on your little one is great!
Lisa, I can't wait to see pics of your babies here in the artist showcase. :)
Welcome to the forum. As Buffington mentioned, we are very fortunate to have friendly and knowledgeable forum members who check in regularly so this is just the right place to visit when you have questions or need advice about making your reborn doll.
There are several topics that seem to come up often.Searching the forum to find answers to previously asked questions can save time if you need instant answers.
We all love looking at everyone's newest baby dolls, and hope you will continue to post photos in the Artist Showcase section of the forum.
Lulu, congrats on your first doll! Your Elliot is awesome--especially, for your first. Many people need to practice making several dolls before they are able to create one with as much realism as Elliot.
Again, welcome!
Linda

Lula I have just wached all 93 photo's and I must say you have captured the reborning process perfectly in your photography. Elliot is georgious. I wish I had a camera that was as good as yours, but maybe it is just the photographer. XXXXX June.
Awww thanks everyone.... sad day today... I have to pack Elliot up and send him to his new Mummy. It was bought by a man for his wife as she has Red hair. I hope she like it. Just got back form holiday so I am itching to do more on the babies so had better get cracking
