Wow well the only two things I can think of is thicker hair, or lightly sanding it out, like when you sand the hair lines from a berg. doll other than that the old wig. I'd be upset as well =(

I would be highly upset, and I would call them and give them a piece of my mind and not the good part, they would be overnighting me a new kit or a check, that is rediculous ( I think I spelled that right), lol. Where did you order it ?

i ordered it from .....barbarasbabies4u.......her on site contact button doesn't work, her phone is disconnected, doesn't reply to e-mails and paypal says she only refunds if kits don't arrive. so i'm stuck. sage cry

OMG! I would be sooo mad!!! Seems like some reporting is in order. Do you think it can be sanded down? Maybe the best revenge is to make the most beautiful baby with it, and rub her nose in it!!!! Sorry this happened to you hun.

What are the arms and legs like if you use another head, and just get a toy store doll for the limbs with that head to reborn for the nursing home. That SUCKS

she finaly replied to state i wasn't getting a refund cos i posted about it, i think that says it all about her ethics. letting bank/paypal deal with her , i need to enjoy my life. sage aww

Yep, write her off, and make sure you tell others about her, so they don't have to go thru the same thing.

I personally would sand them right out and paint over it. You'll never know it's there the grooves don't look that deep so it won't take long to sand it.

Well if she is like that who's to say the rest of them kits aren't like the one you got!... I know this sounds silly but I am mad at what happened... I know I know life's to short but In all Good thoughts the Bank and PayPal will get her... So I wouldn't worry to much!..

well i had someone....NOT HERE.... say i got the kit cheap so how can i complain about the mark .i don't feel the price of the kit has anything to do with non disclosur of a flaw, no replys disconnected phone and blaming me for kickin up a fuss. it's that type of thinking that allows people to continue to do business in that shoddy manner.....ok....ok..i 'll crawl down from my soapbox........lol sage aww

Agreed. Price doesn't matter, it should be disclosed that kits have flaws.

Price really isn't the issue. whether is was a 10.00 kit or a 110.00 kit she should have stated there were flaws and showed a picture of it prior to your purchase. Then not to refund you simply because you were trying to get her attention on the matter just sucks! I agree with June, karma is something I son't mess around with because it's a monster when it get back around to you!

I agree as well! It's not about the price but that She should have at least stated some where that there were Flaws in the kit.

Ok I think I saw this kit being sold on ebay for get this ...35.00 and they are not disclosing any flaws! Is the artist's name Barbara Stewart by any chance?

Just a few thoughts...

Is is possible that the artist may not think it's a flaw to have her initials and date inscribed in large letters in a critical part of the head? May be she's just very proud of her work, wants the world to be able to read the letters without squinting, and doesn't realize how this affects the reborning process, and what steps would need to be taken to create realism.

I guess I would feel better if I thought it was an innocent thing. I really applaud you for making the best of it. I really think I would try smoothing/sanding the letters if at all possible.
