A question about baby names
Permalink

I recently made and sold my first reborn. I was sad to see her go, so I have started my second one.

I have a question that may seem silly, but since I'm a newbie here goes lol.

I know that doll kits have names such as Joey, Avery, etc., but when you sale one do you use the name of the kit as the babies name, or do you give them your own name you make up?  The one I sold I listed by the name of the kit and the name that I ended up calling her. Can someone please tell me the proper etiquette on this? Thank you all.

BTW, I love this forum! It is so nice to find people that are passionate about this art form like I am.

I do it both ways. Sometimes during the process they seem to take on a name of thier own. Other times thier sculpt name just suits them so I keep it either as the full name ot part of it.

In case I missed greeting you, welcome to the forum, Kristi!

I agree with everything said, too!

I almost always end up changing the name, but once in awhile the best name is the name of the sculpt.

Linda
