It looks nice, overt here in Oz we have St Vincents Depaul, ( nicknamed Vinnie's Boutique ) The Salvation Army, and a few other second hand type stores. It is a good place to buy things to display your babies without spending a lot out of the family budget. I've bought Alovely wooden cot, cradle, A brown cane basinette and A white plastic covered carry basket. The cot was $40, this rest where under $10. It good to go bargain hunting. Even our refuge tips here have resaleable items, some of them quite new, I guess there are a lot of wasteful people out there. Great Shopping, and she will look lovely in it. XXXXXX June.
That basket was a good buy. Your baby looks great in it just like that. I'm looking for a jolly jumper I think that's is what they are called. I'd like to hang it in the corner of our arch way between the dining room and living room. Something else the hubby can holler about. OH WELL !!! We have a Salvation Army here. I call it Sally Ann's. I'll have to check it out. Linda
Looks great and the perfect size! Flea markets or swap meets are wonderful places to fine deals as well. Found a beautiful wooden cradle with quilted bedding like brand new for $10. I want from reborn to grandson and back to reborn use. Well worth $10 I definately got my money's worth and then some!
I think that was a great find! And I love the handle, it looks really sturdy. Looks like the whole basket is solid! I bought a large basket at Micheals once, still have it but is just sits with the baby in it. I put 2 19" porcelain dolls (Sugar Britches) that took me months to make in it. Took them to show someone and when I got 3 steps away from the car... the handle broke on one side and out they tumbled! The boy baby with open eyes went nose first, hit the asphalt parking lot and shattered, his eyeballs rolling away while I stood in shock!!
So I'm glad yours looks really sturdy. And wow! All the stuff you ladies have found! Isn't it great!
June, in the US we also have St Vincents Depaul, ( nicknamed Vinnie's Boutique ). My sister in law in Wisconsin not only frequents them for deals, she give a lot of things to them. Here in Mn we also have Savers and Arc Value village. I have like 4 places right around me here.
