I finally got the area ready so I can work on babies in the office. The table is a folding one, so if I need the space for whatever, I can take it down.
This is what on of mine used to look like, Hi all, having trouble finding the reborn work area, but it used to be my kitchen, so many photo's to go through will edit again when I find them. -- Edited by sara zata on Thursday 8th of July 2010 09:24:30 AM

I love the dragon picture, he's unique. You'll find that shelf space filling up before you know it and you'll be looking for more space to stash things. It just never seems there if enough room for everything LOL =)
I think when I post mine, I'll have to do a before/after. I think it will take me all the rest of the summer and fall to get it done. It already houses my clam press for making my wearable apparel, my sewing machine, and some doll kits. But now I also have to fit in my jewelers bench and wax carving tables. Kinda scarry. I think I'll have to have a separate table to work on the babies (away from the wax table as sometimes the wax bits/flakes fly!).
Ok, well it took me long enough to get pics! And now I have issues just thinking of gutting the room (oops, kept typing toom hahaha) to start over again. So here are the pics, just remember, I am doing 3-4 different jobs in there (when I can get to it) haha... Now... my room is 21ft long but is only 7ft wide. I only have the 2 small windows for natural light. Luckily my bookshelf (on the right) is built in and recessed. It gets about 50 degrees F in there in the winter so I have an old mini electric heater.
Most of the plain brown boxes are doll kits, still not unpacked. The desk on the left is supposed to be my jeweler bench to work on jewelry. It also serves as a doll painting bench (see my paints? haha). In one pic I have some wood kitchen cabinets and those will be cleared out and moved to the back corner of the room. I also have a sewing machine in there (buried) and on the left is a large clam press I used for creating wearable apparel (like decaled tshirts and shirts). I have 2 4 drawer metal file cabinets that house my craft magazines and porcelain decals (I have 2 cases of gold rim porcelain plates in the room too). I moved out (this summer) about 8 18 gallon Rubbermaid totes full of material, baby quilt parts and panels, and took them to my 10x20 storage locker!
So... hmmmm... comments? hehehe

Holy Cow, Pat how do you work in there, It is a bit like my shed, that's why I had to clean up my laundry. My shed is ceiling high with boxes and so is your work room, I think we all need a bomb to hit them so we can claim insurance, and start again. XXXXX June.
Gee thanks June lol Actually my ceiling is only not quite 6 ft high. But yes, I DID work in there till my youngest moved back home. I think I posted (actually ranted) in another link somewhere. We were all talking about our kids moving back in or never moving out or something like that. hahaha
So ya, don't tempt me with the bomb (not really hahaha) although at some points (usually low points) I have thought of just having someone come in and haul it all away! Well, except for my shirt press, desk, and sewing machine. You know, the important stuff! If I had ANYWHERE else to do reborning, believe me I would. No room in the laundry either. I have a very small house, thus the 21X7 ft room. We live in a rambler, all the stuff is on the main level with just the laundry downstairs. We made the open area that we used to have down here into Amanda's bedroom, and of course he's got HIS space for his stuff, you know, hunting and his motorcycle hahaha. His "man cave" haha.
I have my sewing machine (in a cabinet) in the laundry, also Amanda's computer desk with the top which will be my wax carving desk so it's in parts now. We just dont' have ANY room in this house. Not like we have a lot of stuff (or at least I don't). When Amanda moved out 2 years ago, Buff basically took over her room for his "stuff" and I got left with nuthin! Although I have some stuff up in the small guest room so I can't complain... but I would have cleared it allllll outta there if he had let me have her room instead. But then she moved back home when she broke up with the worthless bf. We have a small yard so I would love to put up a shed in the back but theres no room with all the city regulations to deal with. It would have to be in the middle of the yard to satisfy all the regs! :O
So, someone (I forget who now) said in another thread about coming over and doing the 1 for you 1 for me thing on clearing it out. I am seriously consideing it hahaha I'll get there, just going to take me more time! But I gotta clear out everything in the small room when my daughter comes on 20 Nov with the bf to stay for a few days. Gonna put the youngest in the small room and give them her room cause it's got a bigger bed. EEekkkkkk! Things are gonna get crazy. And with such a small home I don't know how on earth I'm going to fit over 15 people in here for her baby shower. YIKES!
So anyway, I'll have to move stuff out 1 box at a time and as things go away, I'll take more pics. I have great plans for that little room. Ok, I'll be quiet now lol
